A new kind of life
A/N: You will not believe what I did! After I wrote this whole chapter and was about to post when I accidently deleted it or rather didn't save it! I was so ticked off! I hope it was worth all the hard work. The Doctor and Martha are in a relationship so I will let you guys figure out how far they are in the relationship. Enjoy the chapter! Chapter 1: The decision
"Doctor, are you awake?" she asked softly.
"Yes, I'm awake," His voice groggy from almost being asleep, she felt him move as he turned the light on.
Martha moved her body so she could rest her head on his chest. "How are we going to make it work?" she asked softly.
"Make what work?" he asked her curiously.
"Us," she murmured quietly.
"You aren't breaking up with me are you?" he asked with fear in his brown eyes.
"No! Why would you think that! She almost shouted, making the Doctor jump slightly.
"It's the way you said it that made me panic." He said softly, not meeting her eyes.
Martha put her fingers under his chin and tipped it up so she could look into his beautiful brown eyes. "I love you and nothing is going to change that," she said and then she gave him a gentle kiss on the lips.
Martha pulled away and looked down at the ring on her hand and smiled as she remembered the night he proposed to her.
Flashback
Martha gasped as she saw all the Doctor did for her; he had got reservations at for a fancy dinner place on an alien planet. Their table was on the roof and the view was breath taking, the sky was blue, purple and pink. The stars and moon glowed, their light illuminating the roof were Martha and the Doctor were sitting.
They enjoyed their meal, feeding each other and sharing kisses and holding hands. They were almost done with dinner when the Doctor started to look nervous and excited; he was wringing his hands and fidgeting.
He stood up and came over to her chair and got down on his knees in front of her, taking her hands in his and pressing a kiss to her knuckles.
"Martha you know I am madly in love with you and I know I made your life hell when I first met you. I fought you every step of the way, but you never gave up on me. If you were to leave me I would simply lay down and die, you are my life and without you I have mine as well be dead. Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" he asked as he pulled a velvet box from his pocket and opened it up, the most beautiful ring Martha had ever seen was lying in the velvet box. The band was silver and it had circular inscriptions on it, the stone was small and golden-orange in color it matched the band perfectly.
"Yes I will become your wife," she said through her tears and laughter, the Doctor took the ring out of the box and put it on her small finger, he then gathered her into his arms and kissed her passionately.
End of flash back
"What did you want to talk about?" he asked as he pulled her back down to himand she rested her head on his chest.
"I want to finish my studies, but it would be really hard to travel while I am doing my studies." She trailed off.
"We will live on earth until you finish your studies," he said suddenly.
"Sweetheart no, I could never tie you down like that," she said worriedly.
"Martha I am not asking, I am telling you we are going to live on earth till you finish your studies." He told her and then he kissed her leaving no room for argument.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
