One very gloomy morning...

I wake up to the sound of my mother's vacuum ringing in my ear. I hate it when my mother decides to vacuum my room when I'm still asleep, and on a Saturday as well. I quickly press my fluffy white pillow to my ears but it still doesn't drown out the loud sound.

We live right above a coffee shop, it's a family business. My great, great, great, GREAT grandfather started the coffee shop and has been handing it down from family member to family member. One day I hope to become owner. I already work at the coffee shop after school and on Saturday's. My best friends want to become employee's but they both have a lot on their hands at the moment. I hope to one day to travel to New York, France, Britain, or maybe even India and Egypt so that they can taste my family's delicious coffee. For now I'm just a waitress at the coffee shop. I quickly get out of bed and rush to the bathroom. My face is a bit crusty from my slobber, I never slobber unless I am extremely tired. Yesterday was a late night at the coffee shop. Fridays are always busy. I wash off my face, brush my teeth and take a quick shower.

I have four siblings, One is my twin . My little sister Patty, my older brother Max, my other older brother, Lucas, and my twin sister Clara. My name is Claire. I'm older than Clara by three minutes. Everyone says that I look at act better than Clara. But there is one thing I cant to better than her. Draw. My drawing skills aren't that good. Clara always gets A pluses on her drawing and art assignments. I am averaging a C plus. No matter how much I practice I can't get any better. Me and Clara are both 15, both have long curly honey brown hair, and both have dark blue eyes. Not many people can tell us apart. Once when we were younger, we pretended to be each other. It was pretty funny until I made her get a C in art. After that she never forgave me. I cant help it That's just how I am.

I get dressed into my uniform. (a baby blue shirt and a yellow apron, I also pull on some jeans.) I walk down the stairs into the coffee shop below. Three tables are full and two men are standing by the counter. The coffee shop has white tile floors and rainbow wallpaper. The lighting is very bright as well. Other than the coffee that our shop owns, we serve cakes, donuts, ice cream, and pie. My brother Lucas is standing behind the counter. A large group of other teenagers walk in and I quickly walk over.

"Welcome to Allie's Coffee Shop, my name is Claire, how may I help you?" I say.(I remember to smile). The most ANNOYING voice answer's.
"What a rude waitress!" She mutters "I'll have a coffee and two other coffee's. Also with five coffee cakes!" I cannot believe who just said that. My ex best friend, Joy. We used to do everything together. But then she became much more popular. Then she stole my now ex boyfriend. Made up a big rumor that I work in the coffee shop because I live in a orphanage. Now she has her eye on my brother. My brother has a girlfriend so I'm not that worried. Besides I can't imagine who would like him in the first place.

"Anything else?" I ask trying to keep my voice calm.
"Don't you think I would have said if I wanted anything else?" Joy mutters to her friend beside her.
I quickly turn around and go behind the counter to make the orders. While I'm making the coffee I thought about putting some of my spit inside. It would have worked but Lucas saw me spit into it and threw the coffee out. Well one good thing happened, when I walked over to their table bumped someone. Everything spilled the coffee (I got burned) and the coffee cakes.
