Megas XLR : Evangelion

Fusion with Megas XLR. In the aftermath of Yui's death, Ikari Shinji and his sister Rei are sent to New Jersey by Gendo to get his children away from the scheming of SEELE. At age 10, they graduate from highschool, and at age 12 they graduate college and discover Megas in the Junk Yard. Adventures in Megas follow for 2 years before they return 2 T3. Discontinued up for adoption.

1. Chapter 1

Synopsis: Shinji is sent to live with his relatives in new jersey with his sister reika (not to be confused with rei ayanami, a clone of Yui Ikari and Lilith) to keep the twins away from the manipulations of seele until they are needed to set Ikari's counter plan into action. At the age of ten, they graduate from high-school as child prodigies, and one day at the junk yard with their highschool friend Goat, whose dad owns the junk yard , discover a giant robot designated as MEGAS.

After a period of a year they manage to repair it as well as understand the inner workings of the robot except the timedrive which was damaged beyond repair (at least with present time earth technology). At age 11, they accidentally activate a beacon that pulls commander Kiva out of timespace. Fortunately they are more careful than Coop and Jamie and with Kiva's help manage to isolate and disable the Glorph beacon, leaving the Glorph stranded in time space for ever. Over the next 3 years, they explore the galaxy, searching for parts to repair the time drive, as well as construct a second MEGAS unit so that they can pilot at the same time.

Note: Due to this story taking place in Evangelion, the head is not a car but a normal robot head with neural linking connecting the pilot to the main central computer with rear seats for passengers. In addition Megas will be somewhat limited in what it can pull out of its hat. For the limit, as long as it has a specified weapon in it's computer database, and sufficient energy to be converted into mater, it can replicate anything. That said, it can not break the 4th wall, such as utilizing the Space Battleship Yamato, or a 5 minute till end of episode button, to defeat an unbeatable enemy. It is powered by a matter-antimatter reactor. A photonic stabilizer is used to prevent the stored antimatter react with the stored matter and explode. Total failure or removal of the photonic stabilizer unit will result in a explosion of planetary proportions. It is interesting to note that failure can be adverted by duck taping the unit together, but this is only a temporary fix that must be repaired proactively. The Megas is protected by a 2 feet thick Neutronium armor and as well as argon intrinsic shielding capable of withstanding ground-zero of an H-Bomb with no permanent damage to the shielding system.

Afterword: I first planned for Ayanami to be Shinji's twin sister, but in order to to that I would have to give them both angelic powers, which don't seem to fit with the giant mechas theme. Reika will look similar to Ayanami, but she will also look somewhat like Gendo, being the daughter of Gendo and Yui. I plan to update soon with the first chapter.
