Blue

What's your favourite colour?
Not black. Black was the colour of death. It was everything she was meant to be. People who thought abyss and darkness were perfect said 'black', because they didn't understand what it truly was. Grey was the colour of in-between. It was everything she was. It was the colour of destruction – and that was what she would bring. Grey was the colour the world would turn right before it was enveloped in nothingness. And red was her father's colour. It was the colour of blood. It was everything she had been unwillingly promised to. It was the colour before grey and black. It was the colour of humanity's fall. Orange, yellow, green, and violet…they were bright colours. They were all the things she could not understand. They were the colours of her friends. They came before red, grey, and black. The colours of those who would try to save the world, and she would only destroy it. But blue? Blue was the colour of calm. Blue was the colour amidst the orange and yellow and green and purple. Blue was the colour of twilight. It was the colour at the very end, when the world was saved, and the sky could rise again.
Blue was her favourite colour, because it was everything she ever hoped to be.
A/N: This is my first drabble (or double drabble and a little bit, if we're going to be picky). Anyways, I've always thought it was interesting that Raven's favourite colour is blue, and I thought, a couple nights ago (at 4:00 AM), that I would write a little one-shot about it, but I just got around to posting it now. I know that it needs a more straightforward introduction and approach and I'm not quite sure if I like the writing style, so I'd really appreciate a review to let me know your opinions and so that I can get constructive criticism and improve. Thanks in advance.
