Hey everyone. This story was brought to you by April Auction on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I wrote for Day 22, Auction 3 Male Character of Regulus Black. Warning fluffiness. Word Count is 644. I hope you all enjoy Regulus's Jealousy.

The first real memory Regulus has of spending time with his older brother Sirius was when he was four years old. They'd been over their Aunt and Uncle's house because their parents said it would be nice to go visit the new baby. Regulus had felt jealous from the first moment he heard about baby Narcissa's arrival and anyone could tell that he was too.

"You're jealous," Sirius had stated as he watched Regulus eye the baby with disapproval. "Aren't you, Reg?" Sirius sat next to his little brother watching their mother and their cousins, Bellatrix, and Andromeda, fawn over the baby.

"I'm not jealous," Regulus pouted folding his tiny arms over his chest. In all reality he was jealous. There used to be a time when Regulus was the baby of the family. Now this interloper came and took his spot and his attention away. That wasn't fair. "Who would be jealous of a stupid baby? It can't even do anything."

Sirius laughed at this pronouncement. "How do think Bellatrix felt when I came along?" Sirius asked his younger brother watching the younger face think about. "Or for that fact how we both felt when Andromeda came along not that long after?"

"I don't know," Regulus sighed trying not to let anyone in on how he was feeling about the way things were working.

"We felt just as jealous as you're feeling now," Bellatrix told her younger cousin having seen the conversation from over by the baby. "Especially after you came along too. That's how all older siblings feel when they get a new sibling. Or older cousins for that matter feel the same way when they get a new baby cousin. Why don't you come over and see Narcissa? You might change your mind about her."

"I don't think I will," sighed Regulus as got and followed Sirius and Bellatrix over to where the baby was set in her bassinet. Feeling Sirius press him forward Regulus found himself staring into the intense blue eyes of the new baby. "Where is her hair? She needs hair."

"It hasn't grown in yet," Andromeda stated as she picked the baby up gently and motioned for Regulus to sit down. "Do you want to hold her?"

Regulus looked up at Sirius as though asking what he should do. Regulus eyed his little cousin warily as Andromeda balanced the baby like she'd been holding them all her life.

"Would you like for me to help you hold her?" Sirius asked his brother seeing their mother nod her head over Regulus's shoulder.

"Yes," Regulus murmured fear creeping into his voice as he watched the baby in Andromeda's arms. She was tiny which made her all the more scarier to Regulus. She could be easily broken after all.

"Here," Sirius pointed to a chair sitting down first. He motioned Regulus to sit next to him. "Then you hold your arms like this." He held his arms like his parents had taught him when Regulus had come home from hospital. "Then try hard not move when the baby is placed in your arms. Do you think you got it, Reg?"

Regulus nodded still a little afraid and jealous of the baby. But all of that flew out the window when little Narcissa was placed in his arms. It was like she was the new center of his world and all he wanted to do was protect the new baby.

"You're not jealous any more?" Sirius asked helping Regulus keep the baby's head steady. "Are you?"

Regulus shook his head. "Not any more," he giggled as he looked down at the sleeping child in his arms. That day he and Sirius made a vow to always protect little Narcissa from any harm.

I hope you all enjoy Regulus's Jealousy.
