My take on the new season...

Special Agent Seeley Booth did thought he would feel relieved to have his feet back on American soil, but this was not an occasion that he wanted to return for. An agent he had worked with before Peyton Perotta was killed in a car accident and he had returned from active duty to attend her funeral. His partner anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan supposedly returned a day earlier from her one year dig in Indonesia. He suspected they weren't meeting at the reflecting pool because it had not yet been a year and Brennan would think it would be stupid to break their plans.

He tried calling her again, but she did not answer, he figured she was tired from her flight back. Booth's heart rested in his stomach, he could not wait to see his partner since they had no contact for the past seven months. The last time he saw her he remembered the sadness in her eyes, sadness that she always tried to hide. He remembered seeing the same pain in her eyes when he tried to tell her that he loved her. Recently he began to doubt that his feelings of love her were as strong as he thought they were, but now that he was back where he belonged he knew that he loved her more than anything. He had decided to back to his apartment and sleep.

He dreamed of her, just like he had in Iraq, this time something was different though. As much as he wanted to sleep and dream about her depth less blue eyes and porcelain white skin, something deep inside of him wanted him to wake up. He would eventually awaken to his cell phone ringing.

"Seeley Booth." He said tiredly.

"Agent Booth, this is SA Jacob Kilter, I'm calling to tell you Heather Taffet aka the Gravedigger has escaped." The other man replied. Booth was immediately shocked awake.

"How long ago?"

"About 5 hours."

"Why the hell am I only being told about this now?"

"Protocol."

"Is there anything else I need to know?"

"Yes, we failed to reach Dr. Brennan."

Booth looked at the clock and realized he tried calling her about 3 hour before.

"Shit." Booth murmured to himself.

"Did you say something Agent Booth?"

"No, I got to go."

Booth did not wait for a response he just hung up the phone and scurried out of his apartment. He drove as quickly as he could without getting a ticket, he decided that it defiantly sucked not having sirens. He literally flew up the many flights of stairs up to her apartment. When he got to the door he noticed it was unlocked, Bones never would have left it unlocked. This made him feel like he had every right in the world to enter.

"Bones?" He shouted, and there was no reply. He began to look around while he continued to shout her name. When he entered the kitchen he found exactly what he had feared, no Brennan but a good sized pool of blood, in Booth's eyes it looked massive. A bloodied meat tenderizer was on the counter. He proceeded to redial the number that had called his cell phone earlier and tell them about the situation.

"Dammit Bones where are you?" He thought aloud to himself, even if it did not show Seeley was shaken to his core. He knew he had to find her...
