Adrien's POV

Ladybug was already waiting for me at the drenched Eiffel Tower.

"Ladybug!"

"Chat, this is the fourth time you've been late to patrol."

"And yet you still wait."

She groans at my (in my opinion) well-deserved smirk.

"You are my partner. No matter how many awful puns you make, I just can seem to get rid of you"

"Me-owch my lady, that was harsh. I'm waiting for you too, you know." A deep rumble gently shakes the tower.

"What was the last part? I couldn't hear it over the thunder"

"Oh, just another cat pun, wanna hear it?"

"God no" She laughs and swings away into the rain, looking back occasionally to make sure that I'm following. It's been two years since we became partners, and she gets more amazing every passing day. How am I ever supposed to "move on" when she's my first love.

"Plagg, claws out."

I collapse on my bed and take off my shoes. Running and jumping around on rooftops really take a toll on you sometimes. I glance at my clock-12:47. I should probably go to sleep soon if I don't want to be late tomorrow.

GRUMBLE

"You might wanna get that checked out, Adrien. I'm not the best at human anatomy, but I'm pretty sure that's not normal."

"Ha ha, very funny, Plagg. I'm going to get something to eat, be right back"

I grab a sweater - a big house can get chilly- and make my way to the door. I hear Plagg yell as I close the door-

"Bring me some camembert!"

The lights have been turned off, so I use my phone flashlight. As I walk across the bottom of our grand staircase, I notice light and a faint voice from the top. It sounds like my dad and he's... whispering? I climb the stairs and press my ear against the door.

"Nooroo, what are we going to do? Ladybug and Chat Noir always manage to slip out of my grasp. I'm never going to get their miraculouses at this rate."

My dad is..Hawkmoth?! I gasp in surprise, quickly realizing my mistake.

"What was that, Nooroo? Is somebody there?"
