First fanfic for Supergirl :D
It hasn't been long since Kara came to Earth, roughly about six hours. Within that time frame, she has learned a few things about Earth. Such as the green grass, cars, TV, the bathroom, and her now new fear of popcorn maker or as Kara calls it now "The Big Poppa". Now, night has fallen and it was a clear sign for everyone to go to bed.
The young Danvers sisters were just finish brushing their teeth in the bathroom. As they were heading to their bedroom, Alex asked Kara, with concern sketch across her face. "Are you going to be okay?" It's a stupid question to ask, the girl had just lost her planet, family, and friends in a single blast. But, it's the only question she could come up with. Luckily, Kara didn't take it so personally. Instead, Kara just smiles at her and said "Yeah, I''m fine. No need to worry." She then grabbed Alex's hand and slightly hover off the ground. "Come on. Let's head to bed!" With that said, Kara pull Alex off the ground and flew into their room.
Once they were in, Kara and Alex hovered over Alex's bed. She then drops Alex softly on the bed, earning a giggle from Alex. "I can get used to this" Alex said with a bright smile. Kara couldn't help but return one back as she floated over to her bed and plopped down on it. "You will. Too bad the human's body is not capable of doing such a task" Kara commented. Alex looked over at her with a frown. "Well sorry we human beings can't do all these amazing things that you aliens can do"
Instant guilt flushed over Kara's face. She frantically waves her hands, apologizing "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to offend you" Alex put a hand up and said "It's okay. We all have different abilities that make us unique, Kara" Her face then has a mischievous grin on it, causing Kara to feel slightly uncomfortable. "Or maybe, we can just digest you and figure out what cells in your body allows you to fly so that we can take it and put it in our bodies so we can fly as well" Kara shrieked and quickly flew up in the air. Alex just burst out in laughter! She looked up at Kara while laughing "I'm just kidding, Kara. I'm just k-kidding" Kara, slightly confuse, asked Alex with cautiousness. "You sure? No one's gonna digest me?" Alex stopped laughing and puts on a sympathetic and determine look. "Kara," Alex said, her tone so sharp, it made Kara focus instantly on her. Alex then continues on "We will never let anyone get you. Mom. Dad. Me. We will protect you with our lives, no matter what. I promise" Kara looked at Alex, intensely for a moment before quickly heading over to Alex and engulfing her in a hug, carefully. "I don't want to lose you guys. I lost too much already" Kara's words cut so deeply into Alex's heart, that it almost brings tears to her eyes. But, she knew she couldn't let them fall. She has to be the big sister for Kara. So, Alex slowly rubbed small circles on Kara's back as she softly said to her "I won't let it come down to it"
She then pulled away from Kara, having a big smile on her face. "Come on, let's go to bed" Alex tapped Kara's leg, gently. Kara gave a huge smile and head back over to her bed. She then pulled the covers over her, only exposing her face. Alex couldn't help but let out a laugh as she tuck herself in. "Good night Alex," Kara said, smiling as well. Alex then turns off the lights and the two settle comfy in their beds, slowly drifting to sleep. Hoping to have sweet dreams. Hopefully.
