Jean hated college. He hated mornings, and he also hated Mondays. Combine all three? The end result was a 7 A.M. college class on a chilly Monday morning.

Ugh.

He popped his neck and tried to adjust himself in his seat, looking down toward where the teacher usually stood. Hm, that was weird. Where was she?

His train of thought was derailed (A/N: Sorry I have Chronic Punning Disorder) when someone sat next to him and groaned loudly.

The two-toned man looked over at him. Ruffled brown hair and sparkling green eyes greeted him and Jean's breath hitched for a moment. He calmed down quickly, though, and noticed what the other was holding in his hand.

A coffee cup rested in his right and a can of Monster (the energy drink) in his left hand. The golden-eyed man stared, not sure what the one sitting next to him was going to do.

Silence weighed down for about five seconds, and Jean, sure that he wouldn't gain any amusement from this encounter, turned away and rested his hand on his cheek.

That is, until the brunet to the right of him muttered, "I'm going to die."

The taller of the two looked again from the corner of his eye and saw the green-eyed youth pouring his energy drink into his coffee.

And drinking the entire thing.

Jean's eyes widened. Is it even humanly possible for someone to drink a mixture like that?

"Hey, horseface. What are you staring at?"

The two-toned man scowled. "My name's Jean. Where did you even get the name horseface from? Never mind. The thing I want to know is… How can you drink that?"

"The answer to that, my horsefaced friend ("What the hell?"), is lots of practice." A satisfied gleam shone in the other one's eyes. "By the way, I'm Eren."
