What Happens When You're Caught Staring
Paul was an independent man, a lone wolf even, who preferred to travel alone. However, while he was journeying through the Hoenn Battle Frontier for the second time he somehow found himself being accompanied by an annoying, troublesome blunette and it seemed that no matter how many times he tried to ditch her somewhere she found her way back to him. It was as if she had implanted him with some sort of tracking device.
Even though Paul was once an independent man, and even though he sometimes wished that he could go back to those days when it was only him and his Pokémon he grew to really enjoy being in the company of Dawn. Occasionally, once they had set up camp and were off to bed, Paul would find himself staring at the girl as she slept.
However, one night Dawn noticed Paul staring at her. On the night in question, when the girl peaked threw her eye lids up at the boy with the purple hair he quickly averted his eyes, a pink blush taking over his tan complexion. Dawn smiled and let out a small chuckle.
"What's so funny?" Paul growled.
"It's just I never thought I'd see the day when Paul Shinji would start falling for me," Dawn replied, a smirk forming on her lips. Paul rolled his eyes.
"Has anyone ever told you that you were-"
"Pretty? Yes. Sorry you won't be the first one to tell me, Paulie."
Paul heaved a sigh. "Don't get a big head. I was only going to ask if anyone ever told you that you were too cocky."
"Aw, Paul you don't have to make up excuses. If you're interested just say so." Paul rolled his eyes, folding his arms over his chest. He decided then that he'd never admit that he was interested in Dawn, her ego was big enough already.
"G'Night Troublesome." Dawn smirked.
"Hmm. I see you've also given me a nickname, can I take that as a term of endearment?"
...
I know it isn't great, but I couldn't help myself from writing it. Ugh, was Dawn OOC too? Man I suck a writing IkariShipping :(
