They were the children of the Namikage and the heirs to the Namikagaru village. They were also as different as could be. The two eldest children were both boys; one had bright orange hair while the other one had a head of dark red. It seemed to most of the villagers that the oldest brother, the orange haired one, would be the future leader. Most everyone knew that the red haired brother couldn't be the leader because he couldn't be a ninja. For several years, the village was peaceful with the prospect of the orange haired youth becoming the Namikage; at least that was until the daughters were born. The daughters were fraternal twins, but even so; it was a surprise to see two little girls with very different looks.

The oldest daughter had a full head of petal pink hair and the most amazing emerald eyes. The sages told her parents that she would be a very powerful medic in the future. The last daughter was small and sickly; although she had beautiful blonde hair and sharp lavender-purple eyes. The sages shook their heads and sighed when they saw her; for even they were not sure how long it would be before she died. There was one sage, the leader of them all, who blessed the baby and deemed her the most suitable one for the seat of Namikage when she was old enough.

The Namikage and his wife kept the proclamation a secret for many years and so the children lived and grew in the town the treated them as royalty. At least that was until the rebels of the surrounding islands began to attack. The orange haired brother fled the village with his younger pink haired sister. His ailing mother had requested that she be taken to the Leaf village in the Fire Nation. He did as requested but never returned home to his parents because he was taken by raiders to Amekagaru. Back on the island, however, the red haired brother was in hiding with the blond haired sister. They remained hidden unitl the sages came for them after the rebellion had stopped.
