The coolest boy
Temari walk along the Hokage's office corridor. This isn't the first time for her of being an ambassador from Suna to Konoha. Temari knows this village nearly as much as she knows her hometown, Suna. Therefore she never has been really alone in Konoha. She was stayed with her brothers when they had chuunin exam. And she had Shikamaru as her guardian in her last mission for chuunin exam preparation. But now everything is deferent. Her brothers Gaara and Kankuro are busy to take care of Suna. And in this mission Shikamaru is not there to guide her. He's been busy doing some other missions. Actually, Temari look forward to go to Konoha. She even volunteered her self to do this mission. The reason is pretty simple, she wants to meet Shikamaru.
Temari keep on walking. Suddenly group of gennin girls pass her. They giggles and talk in a loud voice.
"Is it true that Nara-taichou will be your leader in next mission Maki?" ask one of the girls. A tall girl with a long black haired nodded.
"Oh! What a lucky girl are you Maki!" shout her other friend, a girl with a pale skin, "Actually, I'm the one who look forward to be his teammate!"
"Everyone loves to have him as a teammate! He is the coolest boy in Konoha!" say Maki.
Temari slow her steps a little. She know exactly who the girls talking about. Shikamaru. "If I'm not mistaking, the girl from cryptography units was blushing when the fifth mention Shikamaru." Temari talk to her self. Temari take a deep breath. Once again she thinks about Shikamaru. He always looks lazy. Shikamaru never stop to grump even since the first time they meet. Temari never get along with Shikamaru. They always couth in to a cat fight every time they meet. Shikamaru never want to lose from a girl. He had always been a crybaby. Temari never know after all of this time that Shikamaru is so popular among Konoha's kunoichi.
"Does he ever thing about those girls?" Temari thought. Shikamaru always complain about a gender thing. He keeps saying that a girl is some kind of troublesome for his life. But as long as Temari could remember, Shikamaru always had a wired relation with a girl as an enemy or as a teammate.
"Did Shikamaru ever fall in love with one of them?" Temari thought, "Silly! What was I think! That's nothing to do with me."
Temari keeps on walking. She crosses the Hokage office hall. "What took you so long?" a gentle voice makes Temari shocked.
She can see a black haired boy. He stand in front of the gate as if he was waiting for her to come. Temari look to the right and left of her side. But no one there, it's only her.
"What are you doing here?" ask Temari.
"I was waiting for you of course." He walked straight to Temari.
"Waiting for me? But you are not my guardian anymore."
"Then I can't meet you if I don't have any business with you?"
"I… it's not like that!"
"Well! Its oke then?" ask Shikamaru. He took Temari's hand and hold it softly, "Let's get some dinner. I'm starving!"
One little smile raise in Temari's lips. She can taste a jealous sight from the girls as they walk along Konoha Street. Deep indise her heart Temari admit that those girls was right. Shikamaru Nara is the coolest boy that she ever knew. But Temari knows that long time ago. Long before any another girls notice that.
