The porch was rough, old. But at least he had swept away all the debris and dust. No, he did not live in his childhood home; he just came to visit once in a while, cleaning things up. It had been years since he left, and now the war was also finally over with. He sat down on his porch and looked out past the walls of the compound, noticing the happy bustle of the village. People tugged their children along on errands and shinobi greeted each other. It was a sunny day with blue skies and white clouds.

He smiled slightly, peace settling in. The door slid open behind him and feet padded across the porch towards him. The girl sat beside him and held out a glass.

"Lemonade," she said cheerily, a beautiful smile lighting up her face.

Sasuke accepted it with a nod of thanks. He watched as Sakura sipped hers. He watched the way her pretty lips gently rested on the edge of the cup. She removed it from her mouth and brushed some of her soft, candy floss-like hair from her face. The sun sparkled off of her glassy emerald eyes and shone against her lashes.

He wrapped an arm around his lover's waist and drew her closer to him. She looked up and let out an enchanting laugh, eyes closed in amused happiness. Sasuke smiled down at her gently.

"You did buy tomatoes at the market today, right?"

Sakura laughed again.

"Of course I did."

"Oh, good. I didn't want to have to leave you for Ino," he joked.

She scowled at his mean joke and gave his chest a small push.

"You couldn't stand her for a minute!" she playfully argued.

"Hn. Plus Naruto would kill me for leaving you. But trust me, I never will," he kissed the top of her soft pink head. She smirked up at him and he raised an eyebrow.

"Oh well, guess I'll have to put aside all plans of getting together with Lee once you're gone," Sakura dropped the smirk and giggled, unable to suppress it.

"Now you're being mean," Sasuke chuckled quietly.

He was truly happy, and Sakura would never let the feeling die.
