On the carving of pumpkin's… or squash.
It was a tradition, America would out to a farm and go pumpkin hunting. But he never got a pumpkin. He always got a squash instead of the bright orange vegetable. Now America remembered why.
"Come on laddybuck we gotta go get us a squash." Ireland had been asked by England, who was off on business, to teach the amarican colonie how to be safe during all hollow's eve.
"But I don't have any, all I have are these orange things. So what are we gonna do? Squash will never get over here safe and why do we need one anyway?" the toddler/colonie bounced around the red-head.
"We need one to keep safe tomorrow night. It's all hollows eve and we need to be prepared, the monsters and demons have free reign all night."
"you mean like the wendigo?" Ireland frowned what was a wendigo? Figuring it to be some kind of spirit she replied.
"yea kid sure."

"Yep! It's very fun though!"

America looked at the squash in his hands and smiled at it, it one of his good memorys of living with England. Still he wasn't complaining, as he watched his lover/boyfriend/caretaker pick through the field for his own vegitable to be carved later.
AN: interesting fact time! The irish brought pumpkin carving to the state's, except they used squash so…
