"It's not like I want to stop, you know." she said, with a side ways smile, her head resting on the other girls shoulder.
"I know." came the others' reply. Both girls were fairly dry of any left over water-and when they came to a few rocks in the creek bed, the girl with brown hair set the shorter one down, on a large rock close to them.
The black haired girl grinned cheerfully, kicking up some of the creek water at her friend.
"This was fun, Aerith, dontcha think?" she giggled, continuing to kick the water playfully.
Aerith laughed and replied, cupping her hands into the water, "Of course silly, I always have fun with you, Yuffie!" splashing her.
The playful splashing began, until the they were both soaking wet again, the wind blowing pleasantly, sun beams being carried on the mid-afternoon breeze.
Aerith sat down beside Yuffie, and raised her head to the sun, saying, "Do you think that we'll get more chances like this?"
Yuffie looked sideways at her brown haired friend. "To be honest, I don't think we will… Not for awhile, anyway," she said with a nod, looking down and watching the fish dart in and out of sight in the water.
"Mmm…I guess you're right, with…all the work we have to do." Aerith murmured, nodding.
A fish jumped out of the water and both girls looked up suddenly and watched, as it flailed slightly and dove back in with grace-and for awhile the two said nothing, until Aerith spoke up again, "How's your leg? That cut was pretty bad…."
Yuffie grinned at her friend in response, "Awww. Momma Aerith, don't worry so much! I'm the Great Ninja Yuffie-remember? I can do anything! Brave any obstacle-"
Aerith giggled, looking at her skeptically, "Except talk to that girl you like so much, I mean, Yuffie-you can face demons and fix so many things-you don't need to impress her, it's okay to be you-you're great and perfect just the way you are-"
Yuffie blushed, but continued to grin, interrupting, "Awww, come on, it took you forever to talk to Tifa about the way you feel-"
Aerith smiled gently, "Yeah, I know you're right. Alright, but…promise me you'll talk to her?"
Yuffie nodded enthusiastically, "Alright, I promise."
