Ciel sat at his desk, attempting to do some work, but all he managed to do was scribble down a few New Year's resolutions. He stared at the list, a faint smile tugging his lips upward. The first thing he had written was, "Have more patience with the idiots." That is going to be a tough one, he mused, as he was staying at the London townhouse.
Without warning, the door was flung open and what Ciel considered the bigger of the two idiots hurried over to him.
"My little friend, Ciel, it's not good for you to be working so hard all the time!" Soma planted his hands on the desk and leaned forward. "So I have decided I will help you get your work done." He beamed at his friend. "What's this?" Soma said, snatching the list off the desk.
"Give that back!" Ciel demanded, his face bright red with a mix of anger and embarrassment.
Soma ignored him as he read it over. "Hmmm… dealing with idiots…. I'm sorry you have to deal with them, my friend. You know what my father does when he has to deal with idiots? He simply ignores them…" He trailed off when the realization hit him that his father thought he was an idiot.
"Well, that doesn't always work," Ciel retorted dryly. He heaved a long suffering sigh at the look on Soma's face. "Don't worry; I don't think you're an idiot." I already know so…"Argh… Get off me!" he said when Soma hugged him.
"I didn't think you did!" Soma happily cried. "And thank you for saying so!" He let go. "Anything I can help you with?"
"No, I think I've had enough work for one day."
"Good!" Soma grinned. "Let's go, my friend!"
"Where?"
"To have fun!"
