The girl slowly read the letter, she recognized the handwriting as her own. Going through her best friend's personal belongings brought back all the memories...

The two girls were swinging on the swings, the sun beating down on them making them sweat. Their youthful face in bliss because the were together
"We'll be best friends forever, " vowed Scarlett, her childish voice solemn
Her prefectly combed brown hair flew into her face, hiding her serious hazel eyes, she was 8 years old and serious as a grown woman. The other girl stopped swinging, her straight auburn hair tangled with her hands. Her cat green eyes startled, but just as serious as Scarlett's. She jumped off the swing and stood waiting for scarlett to get of her swing. Scarlett came over her dress outfit her mother picked out flying be hind her.
She stood in front of Kerianna, they were complete opposites one girl all grubby the other neat as a pin...One girl Tom boy the other miss princess. One with red hair the other qith brown. Kerianna spit in her hand and held it out
"Best friends forever, " she vowed
Tiffany daintly spit in her hand and shook Kerianna's hand
"Best friends, " she echoed
"Are you alright, dear?" an old voice asked, "Would you like me to help you?"
"No thank you , Mrs. Mckeegan. I should do this on my own.....Kerianna would have wanted that" Scarlett said
Mrs. Mckeegan left leaving Scarlett in Kerianna's joyful room. The walls were a baby blue and there were her favorite poems and saytings on them in royal purple. There were pictures of her and kerianna everwhere. She saw the one of 8th grade graduation and their laughing faces.Her eyes filled up with tears.
"Kerianna...I miss you..," Scarlett whispered brokenly
She ruffled through the box wanting to wait for Gavin before she read the letter addressed to them both. kerianna's handwriting looked so neat, there were little hearts above everyone of the i's.
"Still trying to cheer me up, I see" Scarlett said tears running down her face
"It used to always bug me, even is she herself was sad she'f try to cheer up everyone around her," a male voice said.
Gavin Callaghan, Kerianna's fiance, stood in the door way. His eyes were bloodshot, his sliver blonde hair messed up and hs usually blue gray eyes were sliver from crying. Scarlett got up and gave him a hug
"She loved you soo much, I remember the first time you guys went out......

"Kerianna stop fidgeting, I'll never get all this hair curled if ya don't," whines Scarlett, curling Kerianna's auburn hair
"Do I look okay? i hope he likes me...Gosh, Scarlett you don't think hes playing with me do you?"Kerianna's voice fired question after question
"You look qorgeous, he likes you, I know so. Hes definately not playing with you."
"He's here Kerianna!"Screamed Mr. Mckeegan
kerianna's green eyes looked excitedly into Scarlett's hazel eyes
"Good luck sweetie"Scarlett whispered
"She did all that? Man she was so calm, I was like a bottle of nerves. Why,.......WHY DID SHE DO THIS???" Gavin raged
