The Yearly 365 Challenge
Prompt #6 (Location) Greendale
Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping.
"So why are we out here?" Veronica tucked her hands in her jacket pockets as she leaned against the front of Valarie's car as the other girl was just tossing stones against the sign that read Riverdale/Greendale. "Seriously I could be doing something …. anything else right now."
Valarie turned her head to meet Veronica's eyes in the car lights. "I'm sure if it were your precious Betty then you would spend a life time here." She turned back to the sign and threw another hand full of rocks.
"Leave Betty out of this." Veronica glowered at the other girl's back. "Whatever is stuck in your freaking crawl right now Valarie … you don't get to drag Betty into it."
Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping.
Valarie turned around, "I wasn't trying to insult Betty, Veronica. I was just trying to make a point." She shrugged. She walked towards her car. "Lets go. I'm done here." She got behind the wheel and waited for the other girl to get in the passenger seat. "I'll get you back to where you truly want to be."
Veronica hand rested against Valerie's on the wheel. "Hey I want to hang out with you tonight Val. Truly." She tired to meet the eyes of the other girl.
Valerie shrugged the other girl's hand off of her hand. She backed away from the sign, and turned back towards Riverdale.
Veronica silently stared out of the passenger window. She knew the other girl wasn't going to allow her enterance that night. She could wait. She could prove that she deserves the other girl's trust … it'll take time. But Veronica had the time.
