Dianna was exhausted. She had just finished her first day of shooting for her new movie and all she wanted to do was go home, pop in a movie and snuggle on the couch with- SMASH. A muffled curse was heard just from inside her apartment. Dianna took a deep breath and braced herself for what Megan could possibly be concocting today. She opened the door and was immediately blinded by smoke. The smell of burnt sugar filled her nose and she coughed harshly.
"Megan?" Dianna called, swatting away the smoke from her face.
"I'm in the kitchen!" Megan called. Dianna made her way through the living room, tripping over some of her flats that she carelessly tossed off earlier that week. Perhaps she should have put those away like Megan had asked her to. She walked to the kitchen door and peered in. Aside from the room being absolutely filled with smoke, there was a yellowish batter of some sort all over the floor, the cabinets and part of the ceiling. The remains of what used to be a glass bowl from Dianna's favorite dish set was scattered everywhere in glittering blue shards and the oven was open, and a dark gray smoke was pouring out of it. Dianna ran over to the window above the sink and opened it, nearly slipping in some batter, and started fanning out the smoke before she thought she would pass out. She looked to her side and saw Megan smiling goofily at her, with batter coating her oven mitts and apron, flour all over her jeans and hair, and pink frosting was smeared on her cheek. Megan chuckled bashfully.
"Dianna you're home!" Megan trotted over and quickly embraced Dianna, getting flour all over her dress.
"Oh...oops...here let me just-" Megan tried to brush off the flour, only to smear the batter from her mitts onto Dianna's dress. Megan flushed in embarrassment while Dianna stared at her once clean dress in shock, which melted into irritation. Megan gulped nervously.
"Uhh...here! I made you some banana bread!" She grabbed a metal dish and held it out for Dianna to see. It was black and crumbling, but on top were some words written in pink icing.
"Congratulations on your new movie Dianna Bear! I love you!"
Dianna's anger melted away instantly and a small pink blush rose upon her cheeks. She giggled and hugged Megan closely, not even caring that her new dress had been dirtied by icing and flour.
"Thank you" She whispered softly and nestled her nose into Megan's hair. Megan blushed and hugged her back. Dianna broke away and gazed at the mess that Megan had created. She smiled gently at her.
"What am I going to do with you?"
"I can think of something" Megan grinned cheekily. Dianna giggled and embraced Megan again. She didn't need any banana bread- she already had the sweetest thing in the world in her arms.
