How could she do such a thing? Our parents didn't bring us up like this. Cissy and I, we turned out fine, but how could she do this to our family? How could she do this to me? How could she do this to our little sister? How could she disgrace our family and just run away like that? And for what! A stupid silly mud-blood! She's no better then our cousin Sirius. Blood-Traitor brats, both of them.
Bellatrix Black paced around her room fuming kicking and throwing things at random moments, every once in awhile a window or mirror would shatter from the angry magic vibration off the young 18 year old girl.
"Bella?" Bellatrix turned to the noise to find her 16 year old sister standing in the door way. Her eye's were red from crying and they looked at her with a mixture of fear and hurt.
"Come in Cissy." Bellatrix said calmly sitting down.
Narcissa walked into the room and sat down next to her eldest sister. Narcissa leaned into Bellatrix as she put an arm around her. They sat like that for along while, sharing each other's sorrow, shock, and disbelieve in the silence. Finally the youngest of the Black sisters spoke.
"Why did she do this to us Bella?" Narcissa's voice was quite and she again had tears running down her cheeks.
Bellatrix wanted to say because she was a blood-traitor and that she didn't care for her family's honor, and that they shouldn't waste there time thinking over the silly girl. But the words wouldn't come, she had never said it, and she certainly never would now, but she loved Andormenda, Andy was, after all, her little sister.
"I don't know Cissy." Bellatrix whispered to her littlest sister.
"Doesn't Andy love us?" Narcissa asked, obliviously she had been thinking this for awhile.
"I think she did Cissy, but maybe, maybe not enough." Bellatrix said and she was surprised to hear her voice shake. Bellatrix Black had never cried and she wouldn't now, she couldn't, not over this.
Narcissa jumped off the bed and kicked her eldest sisters trunk in her rage. Her Veela genes showing threw her eyes in her anger and sadness.
"I can't believe she did this to us!" Narcissa screamed. "She left us! She left us for a filthy mudblood! Were we not good enough, are we not good enough sisters for her? Does she love him more then she loves her own sisters?"
"Cissy, Cissy calm down." Bellatrix jumped from the bed and wrapped her arms around Narcissa, Cissy cried into her sisters arms for the best part of the hour.
"Do you think she'll come back?" Narcissa asked finally as she controlled her tears.
"I don't know Cissy." Bellatrix said quietly into her sisters blond hair.
"Yes you do." Narcissa said quietly "She's not coming back. Just like Sirius didn't come back, neither will Andromeda."
Bellatrix didn't answer but that was all Narcissa needed. She lost control and every window, mirror, and glass in the room exploded as Narcissa lost control over her magic.
"Shhh." Bellatrix tried to calm her, slightly scared of what might happen next. "She's not worth our tears. She betrayed us. She picked the mudblood over her own sisters, her own family. We need to forget about her. We'll do just like Regulus does. He tells people he is an only child, he pretends that Sirius doesn't even exist. We'll do the same, pretend Andromeda doesn't exist and that were the only Black's. I'll marry Rodulphus and next year you'll marry Lucius. We'll keep up the family name, we won't let her tarnish it. Okay?" Bellatrix said to Narcissa.
Narcissa nodded her head in expectance.
When they talked of their family they never mentioned Andromeda, for weeks Narcissa would cry in her bed hoping that her older sister would come home. After three moths she would cease her crying.
Bellatrix nor Narcissa would not talk of their sister for another 18 years.
