A/N: Hellooo, everyone! How are you? I'm fine, thanks! ;P Anywho, this is just something that kind of came to me, so I wrote it, and thought I'd share it with anyone who wants to read it! Please review if you liked it! Also, I have a Beta now! It's MegPotter123! Go check her out! Her story Oddities of Destiny is a super good read if you like Harry/OC! Disclaimer: I do not own the world or the characters of Harry Potter! It all belongs to the wonderful, talented J. K. Rowling! :)
Fred,
It's not fair, is it? To have someone taken away from you without warning; to lose something you can't live without. It's not fair, is it?
It's been a year now, Fred.
A year without you here,
A year without your smile,
A year without your laugh,
A year without your voice,
A year without your touch,
A year without you, Fred.
They've told me to move on, they have, but I can't, Fred – I just can't.
Your family – they miss you, Fred, they do, but I just don't think they understand how you and I felt about each other.
We were supposed to get engaged, get married, have little red-headed children, and grow old together, we were, Fred!
I'll never be able to love someone the way I loved you Fred – never. I hope you know that, but I'm sure you do.
Goodbye, Fred.
Serenity set the letter down atop the others that were in a neat pile on the corner of her desk, tears falling freely down her face. She didn't understand why and how someone like Fred – happy, carefree – would be taken away; she didn't understand why he would be taken away from her.
Her bedroom door made a loud creak, followed by a familiar voice. "Serenity, what are you doing?" Ron asked her. "Are you writing one of those letters again? Serenity, you have to stop! It's not go-"
"I know, Ron, okay?" she practically screamed. "I know that it isn't good for me! I know that I shouldn't be doing this! But what you don't understand is that it's the only thing keeping me sane!"
Ron was taken aback by her reaction, and he didn't say anything for quite a while. "I'm came to tell you dinner's ready," he finally spoke, "Mum says she'd like for you to join us tonight," he paused, adding, "George is."
She sighed and looked down at the floor, ashamed. "I'm sorry, Ron, I'm just-"
"No," he stopped her, "It's fine. Just come down and eat, okay? I miss you – we all miss you."
She nodded and stood from her chair, grabbing his hand that he held out for her. She smiled a real, genuine smile, before heading downstairs with him.
