Disclaimer: I do not own lord of the rings if I did would I be writing fnfics on the internet no I would be writing more lord the rings novels.

Arwen walked silently through the woodland once known as Lorien. Dried mallorn-leaves lay at her pale feet. The scenery which was once bright now, colourless. She had her gaze on the untrodden path, until she reached the mirror of Galadriel.

The mirror still held a small amount of water. Just enough for her to see her own reflection, the light in her eyes had dimmed since the parting of her beloved Estel. Then the image in the mirror was no longer the reflection of herself, it was what she was destined to do she was in the mirror it showed herself her grandmother, Galadriel her father, Elrond and herself standing awaiting to be carried to Valinor on the last ship to leave middle earth, never to return. On shore was a man dressed in the clothes of a ranger his face hidden by a dark cloak. Her father and Grandmother exchanging satisfied glances. She stood between the two of them. Her father and grandmother didn't take a last glance at middle earth, as Arwen did Estel the man on shore whispered ''Namarie'' she turned without a reply and went forward toward the ship. The man shore turned didn't watch the ship sail towards the horizon, into the west never to return.

Arwen gave a weakened smile and was glad what the mirror had just shown was not her choice, her choice, what had come to pass. The scene in the mirror changed revealing a new scene it showed only her father and grandmother awaiting the last ship to leave middle earth never to return. She was standing on shore with Estel, this time Estel was not clothed in the garb of a ranger but a king, a king of Gondor. This time it was she who called out ''Namarie'' not him and for that she was glad. She was glad she had chosen this road not the one expected of her by her people, her father, her grandmother, she took the road of the choice not anothers.

Her mind wandered from the mirror to reality and what she was about to do. She closed her eyes and thought about the 4000 years grace had given her. Where in Imadris Estel had first called her ''Tinuviel'', those days their first meeting to their last words she remembered them all so clearly. Her choice so many years ago in Imadris ''I choose a mortal life'' those words she spoke almost 200 years ago and still held them close to her heart still believed every word and regretted nothing of them or anything she had ever spoken to Estel.

Now she stood on the very hill where Estel pledged his heart to her. This is where she laid herself down to rest on the hills of undying grass no more sparked with the presence of elanor and niphredil.

The Doom of Men had come to take Arwen Umdomiel
