The outside was filled with the sound of tooting horns and congestion filled the surrounding air of my car. I looked over to the left of me to see my girlfriend spacing out looking at the impatient drivers. Who would have guessed the theme park was going to be this busy! The sun reflected of her golden blonde hair as she looked over to me smiling, this was bliss even though we had been in this traffic jumble for the past 45 minutes something about her smile made me happy no matter the situation. I start to lean in to her before hearing her gasp with wide eyes pointing to the wind shield. I looked over and couldn't believe what I was looking at. It was like a massive mushroom cloud that was heading our way at breakneck pace, I turn back to her and cling to each other in desperation before everything goes black... "Guardian? Eyes up Guardian!"
I sprung awake sweating and panting before my A.I. 'Ghost' appeared beside me to question me. "Same one again?" Ghost asked, "Yeah Everything is fine though," I told him before lying back down. "understood." Ghost said before disappearing again. I tried to clear my thoughts and rest a little longer as it was still early, I felt My eyes droop before falling back asleep. "Guardian we have almost reached Earth I suggest you begin to wake now." Ghost told me disappearing almost as fast as he appeared to tell me. I let out a huge sigh before stumbling half asleep to the bathroom to shower as I should probably clean myself after the 'episode' I had earlier. After a good 20 minutes I turned the shower off and stepped out to get a towel, I stared deep into the reflection of the mirror feeling the three scars on my face, I had one at the top left of my forehead, one that stretched across my nose from the right side of it and finally the worst one which went down the centre of my right eye. I hate this one far beyond the other two is because it attracts more attention to my eye. My left eye was just a non existent white sphere, no pupil or anything. It must look horrible to everyone else which is why unless I'm in the comfort of my own space I keep my helmet on at all times. Even then I cover it with a headband or a bandage as a precaution. I got my outfit on before and headed to the cockpit. "Just in time, we are in orbit, where shall I warp you down?" Ghost questioned. "The Capital I got a few bounties to collect." "Affirmative warping you now." I closed my eyes as I felt my body warp to the square and opened them as I felt concrete below my feet. I strolled around the square for a bit forgetting how big this place actually was, Lately I've been too busy to just walk and enjoy myself. I walked into the offices where the bounties were all placed, I walked up to the robot working there to hand in my jobs that I completed before scanning the boards as I waited on my cash to come. Seriously some of these are just ridiculous, One even went up to 15,000,000 in cash! But what was expected was impossible, like destroying a planet themselves impossible! I sighed at how mental people were to accept such jobs before getting my reward, it was my first proper day off and damn was I going to enjoy it. I accessed the digital storage vaults to see how much I have in total and also to see if I still had that apartment key, thankfully it appears I do so now I can let Ghost do what hey wants for today it was my treat. I continued to stock up for the next job before I realised it was getting late. I ditched what I was carrying at the apartment and went off to look for a decent bar to get hammered in. I finally found one teaming with rowdy drunks who just wanted to laugh and fight it seemed perfect for me, I always favoured those types of bars as they contain more 'colourful characters' I sat at the bar and began my night of heavy drinking.
I got about 45 minutes into my drinking adventure when I could hear a violent argument unfold between two bounty hunters, "Mitchell lay off it man it ain't worth it, you don't know who you're picking a fight with!" One of Mitchell's friends warned "That's Samus Aran Come on you must have heard of him, he only has two emotions pissed off and extremely annoyed!" He further explained. "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHO IT IS! ANYONE WHO CROSSES WITH ME IS GONNA DIE!" Mitchell screamed. This made the opposing figure, this Samus person share a quick laugh which in return made me laugh, I loved these kind of bars. However my laugh was immediately stopped by a furious Mitchell as he took out a gun and fired. Out of reflex Samus dodged and fired a plasma shot back out his arm cannon, God knows what the padding on Mitchell's shoulder was made out of because it deflected the shot and hit the back of my head. Now, normally it wouldn't be that bad but because I came out for some fun and alcohol I didn't have my shields up and the blast knocked my helmet right of my head onto the floor next to me. The whole bar fell silent as I slowly stood up and bent down to grab my helmet and put it back on. Now I was pissed. I walked over to the two ready to show my gratitude but that Mitchell was still screaming at Samus so he couldn't even see me walking over to him."Oi," I exclaimed monotonously, he turned his attention to me ready to pick a fight with me now. Out of sheer rage I grabbed his face before closing in the gap between us two and rather softly told him "Shut. Up." I slammed his face of the table knocking him out and breaking the table too... woops looks like I'm going to have to tip a little extra tonight. I averted my gaze over to Samus who looked ready to fight me and I would have complied if I was drunk enough not to think, but at this moment I still could think rationally and I knew after one glance at his armour that I might not be able to win so I turned around and sat back in my seat before apologising to the bartender and ordered another drink. I was just relieved that the visor's opening component around where my mouth was wasn't damaged therefore I wouldn't have to try and drink with my helmet awkwardly half on - half off. About 35 minutes passed and I started to feel the drink kick in which means that it was time for shots. I ordered my drink before there was a clunk beside me followed by a I'll have the same as him." It was the guy from earlier I think his name was Samus? "Hey thanks for back there I would have probably killed him if not for you!" the man giggled, it was weird for a second I could have swore that it sounded feminine but I put that to one side as A- it doesn't matter and B- Why should I care we don't know each other but for some reason I kind of wanted to. "I'm Samus by the way, Samus Aran," the man said before extending a hand to me."What do I call you helpful stranger?" I pondered for a second at this because Telling her my name was out of the question, no one has said my name since I died in the explosion before Ghost rescued me. I smiled under my helmet and decided to use the name others use for me, "Hello Samus call me Guardian."
