The Pegasus Crystals was rainbow-leaves' idea If you're wondering why I'm writing this at the moment, I have no idea for what to do in Green Ember next This chapter is told from the view of Ace, but I will not normally write from his POV

Chapter 1 My view was splashed with color, vibrant hues of the entire rainbow. Shocked by this assault of the senses, I jumped to my two... no four feet. I looked down at my feet and knew something was definitely up. My skin was an electric yellow, but what shocked me even more was the shape. I was a... pony. Using a puddle as a mirror, I found that my mane was a green mixed with cyan blue. I was also a pegasus, which eased my worries of never flying again.
"Hey, I saw a white flash. Was it lightning? If it is, I'm so screwed." A rainbow maned pegasus said flying over.
Reacting to the strong confident voice, I said "Ma'am no Ma'am."
"Okay Mr. Formal, who are you?" She said "I am Ace Finit, Senior Master Sergeant of the United States Army Air Force." I answered her question "Okaaay Ace... Did you say Air Force?" She intrigued "Yes I did" I said. A smile appeared on her face, devilish yet playful "I bet you're good at flying, wanna race?" She asked excitedly For once, I thought about what I was going to say. I couldn't fly, at least not without a plane.
"No" I mumbled, not loud enough for her to hear "What?" The mare said "You never told me your name" I attempted at changing the conversation "I'm Rainbow Dash, The greatest flier EVER!" She said, more pumped than ever. "Now, can... You... Fly?"
"No" I said firmly to her rhetorical question. She didn't expect this answer and her reaction was rather apparent through her body language.
"oh..." She said sorrowfully, her excitement now diminished to absolutely nothing. "that must... suck."
"It really does." I said "Got it. You're staying at my place, I will be your trainer." She said determined.
"Why am I staying at your house?" I said "So I can keep track of your diet and training easier." She said matter-of-factly "A Wonderbolt has to be both a leader and an athlete."
"Are you s-"
"What's that on your neck?" She said, seriousness taking over her voice "What?"
"That pendant on your neck, what is it?" She pressed harder.
"I don't know, why?" I said, taking note of the little jewel hanging by a wire. Her eyes remained connected to the jewel as she moved around me to examine it.
"Come on, let's go." She said, taking flight absentmindedly. She returned to pick me up, muttering Sorry, I forgot
