The Yearly 365 Challenge

Prompt: #9 (Location) Evergreen Forest

Veronica was pushed gently back against the tree bark by two slim but gentle arms. She smirked as she watched the sea of blue green iris looking straight into her own over blown chocolate brown ones. "You have be at your mercy B. What are you doing to do to me?"

Betty breathed swallowed as she pressed her forehead against the shorter brunette's. Her eyes slipped closed as she silently took in the scent that was Veronica Lodge.

Veronica's hands rose between them so she could gently cup Betty's cheeks in the palms of her hands. "B?" She breathed as she leaned forward the inch that she needed. She sighed as her lips met her girlfriend's once more.

Betty sighed into the kiss as her body melted into her girl's. She whimpered as she opened her mouth so the other girl's tongue could slip in. Her fingers tightened against the body that she held against the tree. The back of her fingers felt the roughness of the tree bark. She pressed Veronica's tighter against the tree bark.

Veronica gasped at the sudden pain in her back. But she just deepened the kiss instead of puling away. Her lips chased Betty's as the blonde's left her mouth. "I need you." She breathed out as her hands tried to bring the blonde's face back to her own. Her eyes glided open as she felt the blonde body push away from hers. "B?" She husked out as the blonde backed away with wide eyes and hands around her waist. "No." She whispered.

"I-I c-can't d-do this." Betty's eyes lowered. "I'm s-s-sorry."

Tears feel down Veronica's cheeks and onto her pillow as she turned and leaned her face into her pillow as silent sobs busted through her chest. "Jughead told me that he loved him. Veronica; I told him that I loved him also. We almost made love but then the Serpents came to give Juggie his jacket. But we love one another Veronica. Isn't that great?" Betty's words from a month ago echoed through Veronica's mind as she wept her heart ache into her pillow.
