Teehee, hope you like it. :3

The Doctor skipped up the stairs to the TARDIS control room, grinning like a mad Cheshire cat. He hit a few knobs with his fist, twisted a circular shaped object and pulled a joystick in and out.

The TARDIS made a low groaning noise as it came to life. It jerked around violently and threw the two men sideways as they gripped on to whatever they could to avoid dropping onto the floor. The Doctor grinned and bounced to his feet.

He turned to his companion and smiled half heartedly, "England, London. March 2012," The Doctor said, grievously. His companions eyes widened as he deduced why The Doctor had brought him here, to this place, at this time.

"It's been two months Sherlock," he said, his voice hushed. Sherlock ran over to the small monitor around the back on the console, and turned it on. Moments later a small man, no later than mid-30's, eyes red and puffy appeared on the screen. He ran a pale hand through his hair as he continued to walk down the street. His limp had returned and he looked broken, and empty.

"John…" Sherlock sighed as he stared at the empty shell of his best friend. He felt tears sting at the corners of his eyes - but wouldn't let them fall.

The Doctor sighed, "tell him you're alive Sherlock."

Sherlock shook his head as the Doctor walked closer and looked him in his pale eyes - full of tears and pain, and loss…

"He's dying, every day," the Doctor continued.

"It's too soo- Sherlock began.

"Dying. Every. Day." The Doctor said silently pleading with the man that stood before him.

Sherlock switched off the monitor and put his head in his hands and began to sob.

"I miss him Doctor, I really do," Sherlock sobbed, defeated and drained. "But it's too soon and I need… I need more time!"

The Doctor drew in a deep breath and walked towards the control panel. "I understand Sherlock, I've lost people too and it hurts. Believe me Sherlock, I know." The Doctor said - trying to hide the sadness in his voice. He rubbed at the tears that began to form in his eyes as he thought about all of his friends that had left him. All of his friends that had died for him. He pushed a few buttons on the console before it sighed and started up.

Sherlock snapped his head up and forced himself to look at the screen. He reached out and touched the figure of his best friend. The wheezing of the TARDIS grew louder until eventually the screen lost it's signal.

Sherlock dropped his head once again and wept. Eventually after a long while of crying, he whispered, "John, I'm so sorry…"
