Blinder than Itachi
"Your eyes are completely blind now" It's a statement delivered without an ounce of emotion.
"Ironic how the eyes are the first place to go blind..." That is his dry voice barely indicating sarcasm, but it is there.
She does not bother hiding her smile, he cannot see it anyway.
"Some overly romantic person might argue with you and tell you the heart can be blinded too"
"Blinded from what?" He's feigning interest now, or could he be feigning to feign? She is not sure, so she continues.
"Situation, past, personality, logic, reality..." She is cut off.
"aah, we're talking about love"
"mmm..." The sound she emits is only vaguely agreeing.
Oo o oO
"So are you?" Her head whips around at the sudden sound. So surprised is she at his sudden decision to initiate conversation that she nearly drops her syringe.
"W-what?" She manages to get past her lips.
"Some overly romantic person?" He can practically hear the gears turning in place as she realizes he's taken up the conversation from the last time.
She almost laughs at the sheer absurdity.
"If I was I'd have already kissed you. You would have reciprocated and I'd kid myself, thinking you meant anything with it when in reality you were just using me."
He seems to think it through seriously, a slight frown marring his disturbingly beautiful features.
"So in that case you'd have been blinded from logic, which dictates that with my manipulative nature I'd use you..."
She huffs.
"I'd be blind to a whole lot more than that, Uchiha"
"Hn" She does not know what to make of it, but she allows him the last... word-thingy.
Oo o oO
"So are you?" He surprises her once again, but only because the thought of him initiating conversation seems unnatural.
"What?" She asks, setting herself down beside him on the hospital bed.
"Blinded by love?" Her green eyes sparkle mischievously at his question, she hadn't thought he'd ever get it.
"Mm, perhaps a little bit"
...
…
"So its true love really is blind" He muses aloud, savoring the sweet lingering taste of Sakura on his lips.
"Blinder than you, Itachi" She deadpans.
A smirk spread across his thin lips, because he knows that his blindness is there to stay…
Author's note:
What is this you ask? No idea. Well, I do... Kinda... In a way... yet I don't. The conversation was found in my calender-notebook-thingy from two years ago. Then I added a little bit of flesh to it and voila: a strange nondescript setting. Plenty for you people to use your imagination. Personally I think it's sweet. Thank you for reading. A review with an opinion would make me happy :D
