Sweet Dreams
Dana/Brock
Danathelise was exhausted, today was the day she had caught a Milotic and a Blastoise with the help of her Teddiursa and her Bastiodon. She was extremely lucky to had even found both of them- they were both rare species to be found in the wild.
Dana sighed as the cool material of her nightie slid over her overheated skin, immediately falling on her plush bed, sinking into it's softness, falling right asleep.
To a nightmare.
You see, it wasn't very long ago that her parents had disappeared, she was 12 but very smart at the time. She searched for days on end, not sleeping, calling out for her parents to no avail. She had a plethora of dreams with different scenarios, but all of them ended the same:
"Please don't go."
She woke up with a cold sweat, shivering uncontrollably as she stepped out of bed, the wood flooring of her room protesting with a loud groan.
As she walked towards her bedroom door, her eyes glanced at her Sanrio-themed alarm clock. 4:30 am. Dana just shrugged to herself, walking out of her room toward the kitchen.
This was sort of a ritual.
She'd have the nightmare, wake up in cold sweat and shivers, get out of bed and look at her alarm clock, and leave for an early breakfast. It had been that way ever since it happened.
Just as she was about to reach for the leftover pizza-
"What are you doing?"
Dana turned her head around slowly to the side to see Brock.
"I was getting me something to eat." Dana shrugged, taking 4 slices out of the box before placing it back in the fridge.
"This early?"
Dana nodded, putting the plate in the microwave.
"I kinda had a nightmare so..."
Brock just nodded. "Oh."
He went to the cabinet to get cereal, and sat down at the table, eating with Dana silently, the only sound was the chewing. That was, until....
"If you want, you can sleep in my room."
Dana practically choked on her pizza.
*cough cough*"What?!" Dana said before taking a drink from her cup.
"I didn't mean it like that. I meant that if it helps for someone to be there while you sleep then I could help."
Dana looked at him skeptically.
"What are you thinking?"
"Nothing I swear!" He said, finishing his cereal.
"Uh-huh. Yea. I totally believe you...not." She said, putting her plate in the sink.
Just as she said that, a yawn escaped her lips.
"Well I guess thats the cue." Broack said, leading her into his room.
She didn't even care what was in his room. She just wanted to sleep.
She climbed upon the bed, curled up into her usual position and fell asleep.
Brock couldn't help but smile at her sleeping figure,
This is, until she started writhing in her sleep, and kept mumbling "Mom...Mom..."
He tried waking her up but she wouldn't!
He did the first thing in his mind-hold her.
And, surprisingly, she stopped. She sighed peacefully as she cuddled closer to him.
He smiled once again, kissing her soft lips.
"Sweet dreams, Dana..."
