A tribute to the story Blind, written by ObsidianSickle, for being the best Naruto fan fiction I've ever read.

She always reprimanded him with a stern voice when he would carelessly discard his clothes on the floor when changing.
She always looked disapprovingly at him and scorned him whenever he would come home late in the evening, covered from top to toe in dirt and mud, or drenched wet because of the raging weather outside.
She always shook her head knowingly when she would go to the market, and see tomatoes scrawled with his elegant scripture on the bottom of her shopping list.
She always asked him with hope in her eyes, even if they both knew she rarely took no for an answer, if they could go through another healing session. Just one hour. Just until he fall asleep. Just a little longer. Just 10 minutes. She could keep at it until she passed out from chakra exhaustion.
She always smiled ruefully at him when he and the loudmouthed friend of theirs would start bickering about nonsense again.
She always hurt to see his trembling form in the clutches of one of his tormenting nightmares. To see the anguish behind his dark obsidian eyes be replaced with both another kind of anguish and silent relief at the same time, when he opened them up to realize it had just been another bad dream. And that she was still there.
She always tried her hardest to fulfil her promises to him. His sight. His Sharingan.

She loved the slight pout on his lips, the frown of his brows when she confronted him.
She loved the sight of him whenever he would walk safely in through the doors.
She loved watching him pop those red sliced up tomatoes into his mouth with a satisfied look on his features.
She loved knowing she made a difference to him. Seeing his sight slowly return; seeing his eyes slowly awaken to life, if only just with a glimmer of what they had once used to.
She loved how he acted so naturally around friends that really mattered.
She loved that he still had a heart to feel with; even if it was mostly broken up and ruined. Because that meant there was still hope that he could feel love again, too. He wasn't lost yet.
She loved having a reason to stay yet another day beside him.
-
She always did and always would love every little quirk and invisible flaw he had, with every little quirk and flaw she had. Never expecting anything in return.
Because that is how unrequited love is supposed to be.
-
He didn't know it yet, but he loved her too.
