He shut the car door, and walked over to the railing his eyes snapped shut as he breathed in the evening air.

"I'll see you again" he said softly, he knew it might not be true but he said it nonetheless, Roy was an extended part of him, like a right-hand, he would miss his apprentice

"We've come a long a way from where we began" Roy's voice barley reaching ears, he nodded; before patting Roy's shoulder and pulling him in for hug. He waited a few minutes before pulling back and staring into the young hero's ocean eyes.

"Thank you for saving me" the words falling easily from his lips and in that moment he knew no words could be truer. The young man watery smile tugged at his heart, his ocean eyes hundreds of shades darker than they had once been, he could see it all.

The young man took a few steps back and pulled the open the convertible door, his hand resting on top of the frame, the young hero looked back at him, and something he hadn't seen in the hero's eyes shone, something he knew. He had found it. Peace.

The evening sun was setting, the highway clear near the coast, orange, red, pink, shimmering on the sea. The young man's lips pulled into a easy smile, as he pulled the door shut, the roar of engine came alive as the convertible pulled into the highway and sped on.

His sky blue eyes opened, he stood over the railing and watched the sunset, the dreams of 'someday' echoing in his head "it's been a long day without you my friend, and I'll tell you all about when I see you again"
