Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto because if I did Hinata would get the attention she deserves!
"Why can't you be more like your sister?" A strong voice, belonging to Hiashi, yelled at his oldest daughter.
"B-but father" a thirteen year old Hinata was close to tears.
"No buts! You have to learn to look after yourself or else you will automatically forfeit your position as heiress"
"Well maybe I don't want to be heiress!" she screamed at her father, tears now streaming down her face.
She then turned heel and rushed out of the room. Then she ran right out the front door.
Her father let out a sigh. He did not like yelling at his oldest and kindest daughter but he knew she needed to toughen up.
Hinata continued to run with no idea as to where she was going.
All she was that she had to have a break from the place she had called home for the past thirteen years.
After a short while she found herself upon a large Sakura tree. She accidentally tripped over one of its roots before seating herself it its base where she continued to sob.
"W-why does H-hinabi have to be so t-tough and mean?" she asked herself through sobs.
"W-why does N-neji blame me for his f-fate?"
"I would swap places with him any day!" she cried into the night, unaware of what appeared to be a cloaked man situating himself behind her and the tree.
He took a small step into the open, but not where she could see him and said "Now that wouldn't be a good idea. He wouldn't put that position to good use as you would"
His voice was cool and clear, much like the night air.
Hinata gasped and scrambled forward from the tree, her pale eyes wide.
"Relax.." he calmed her before sitting beside the base of the trunk.
She could not see his face in the darkness and even if they had the moon the hood was hiding it as well.
She eyes him warily before sitting back in her spot at the base.
'I don't think he'll hurt me' She thought to herself. If he wanted to he could have already.
"Why are you here?" she asked, surprised at her boldness.
The mysterious man chuckled. Hinata frowned slightly.
"For the exact same reason as you, of course" He told her.
'He can't know why I am here' she told herself disbelievingly.
"Family trouble." Was all she said and her eyes widened. He couldn't possibly know…"
Or that's why I assume you'd be complaining about people who appear to be family members" he told her. She relaxed again.
They sat and talked a while. never breaching the subject of who they were.
After approximately half an hour voices could be heard coming from the direction of her house. Hinata moaned in disgust. '
They just have to come when I am enjoying someone's company' she grumbled to herself.
As she picked herself up and brushed herself she turned to the mysterious man and said "I did not catch your name".
"You can call me Hanode."
She grinned. He had asked her to call him sunset.
"May I ask for yours?"
"You can call me Hinoiri" she told him with a small smile and began to walk home.
The mystery man, Hanode, smiled to himself. She had told him to call her sunrise.
He was then up and gone with out a sound.
Hinata turned around to ask him to meet her again the next night but found he was gone.
How mysterious…
