Seeing you again is like a blow to the chest.
By leaving I thought I'd put my demons to rest.
But your spirit's like a shadow, with no end and no start.
Still begging me to return after 2 years apart.
"Come back!" you say-
I reply- "No way."
I wont be brought by those sweet lies
Behind those blind blue eyes, not today.
You stand before me and claim I am blind.
Whilst you have no idea what I'm feeling inside.
I'm not the one who can't tell the difference,
Between a vow of friendship,
And a love admission.

But then sanity returns, and I remember the truth
As long as she's there, I'm second best to you.
