Darkangel: I wish I did, but I don't own Haunting Ground. Anyways, this is based on ending D, also known as "The Bad Ending". I hope you enjoy and please read and review.
Hewie was lying on the forest floor, bleeding from a gunshot wound on his left thigh. Even though the shot seemed to not hit a vital spot, he was losing a lot of blood and would die of blood loss soon. He was whimpering as best as he could for someone to help him, anyone at all. He knew that if he died now, Fiona would never be able to escape and neither would he.
He laid there, waiting and waiting, for someone, anyone, to come and find him, but the one he wanted to show up most was Fiona. Eventually he figured out that no on was coming for him, not even Fiona. Just like all the other times, he felt alone and unloved. He thought that Fiona cared fro him, because she saved him, and she was the first person to do that since he could remember. But now he knew she didn't care either. So he finally figured that he was never loved.
As he was fading away from this world into the next, he thought he saw Fiona running towards him pleading him not to go and to not leave her behind in this nightmare. He smiled and barked as best as he could before he died. As he took his last breath, he thought these very words…..
Maybe I was never truly loved, but I do know now, that my life wasn't a complete waste, anymore.
