The sun overhead was nearly set, casting the valley in reds and golds, but Finn didn't notice. He balanced a bright red box over his head as he walked along the rope handrail on the bridge leading to Marceline's house.

"Woo! Game night!" He shouted, and spun the box around on one finger. "I'm bringin' Scrabble to Dapples. What've you got, Jake?"

Jake sauntered casually on the bridge, both hands in the pockets he conveniently made out of his flesh. He slipped the cards out of his pocket, flashed them to Finn, then shoved them back in, looking over his shoulder suspiciously. "Texas Hard-Nose poker. I'm looking to win back my comic books. That devil woman didn't even read them!"

Finn hopped down onto the bridge, shaking it up and down. "Jake, that doesn't sound very fun. Game nights are fun nights, buddy."

Jake grumbled something about comics, but quickly let it go. He caught sight of the ravaged scarecrows that littered the enterence to Marceline's cave at the same time as Finn, and nearly stuck his foot in a bear trap as he was marveling at them.

"Woah!" Finn yanked Jake back just before his foot landed on the trigger. Several more traps were between them and the house, and a few snares were placed that would trigger arrows. Finn scanned the area, unsure what to say. Jake shrugged.

"Marceline's really bad at game night."

He stretched his leg over the traps and fallen scarecrows, and landed at Marceline's back door. "Come on, man. Game night!"

Finn nodded. Any chance to practice some skills. He mashed the box down on his hat, tested his balance with a few ninja hand poses, and lept over the first bear trap. Keeping his head up, Finn flipped onto his hands, avoided two more beartraps, flipped back around and caught the box as an arrow whizzed just underneath. Two more flips, a cartwheele, stick the landing and... Marceline's house! Jake gave him a bro-fist.

"Dude, that was so math."

"Naw, that was some first level junk. I'm just keepin' fresh."

Finn rang the door bell, and Marceline cracked open the door. She stared down at Finn and Jake. "Okay, I give," she said after a minute. "Why are you guys at my house?"

"It's game night," said Finn, a little hurt.

"We're here for a rematch in Texas Hard-Nose!" shouted Jake.

"Oh!" she said, suddenly remembering. "Game night! Been preparing all week!" She looked over her shoulder, then back to the boys. "Just give me a second, okay?" The door slammed in their faces before they could give her a second.

Finn looked at Jake. Jake shrugged. "Idunno?" The door opened again, and Marceline stepped out, holding a piece of paper. She locked the door of her house, closed the shutters with the heart shaped cut out, and turned around. "Do you guys like scavenger hunts?" she asked.

"No," said Jake. "Because scavenger hunts are for babies."
