Prologue
Leolia gazed out over her home planet's beautiful landscape, the burnt orange sky was alit with a range of colors, the twin suns had just set for the night and it was starting to get cooler. She wrapped herself tighter with the deep blue shall that had belonged to her great grandmother.
"I could look at that sight every night"
Leolia knew that voice. She turned to see a white haired old man looking at her with a gaze that she knew was only for her and that no one else could even duplicate, not even her own husband.
"Hello Theta." She said with a smile. Her deep blue eyes looked him up and down, "I agree, the sunset is quite amazing tonight."
"I wasn't talking about the sunset and you know it." he said as he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her youthful arms, burying his face into her loosely curls deep red hair, "I always loved your ginger hair."
She sighed and turned to face him, "Theta, you can't be here. We can't continue to meet like this. It's getting too hard to restrain myself when you're around."
"I know, I wish things could be different." he sighed and decided to change the subject, "so, I like your new regeneration, very sexy."
Leolia laughed and turned to the night sky, her gaze when up to the stars and said, "yes, I chose it just for you." Her smile suddenly dropped, "Oh, Theta. I'm going to miss you. Do you really have to leave?"
Theta gave her a sad smile, "Yes, you of all people should know that banishment is banishment. Susan and I will be taking the TARDIS tonight, I just came to say my final goodbyes." He kissed her forehead and then leaned his own against it. she laughed again and said, "even leaving, you manage to break a few laws." She leaned back and looked him in the eyes saying, "Be careful, Theta."
A few minutes later she was looking down from that very same balcony that they had just said their goodbyes on. Theta was looking back at her from his TARDIS and waved as he entered it. She waved back and then heard the familiar "whosh, whoop" it made when it disappeared from her vision.
After the TARDIS had disappeared, Leolia placed a hand on her belly and said, "Goodbye My Love, My Doctor."
