Wind. The lonely feeling that reached his ears, traveling to his eyes making them squint; before assaulting the rest of his senses, tasting of alkali dust and smelling of a hot summer.

Arizona the loneliest place in these United States and if it wasn't for Tod, Buz would feel very lost and lonely right now.

Maybe being the navigator one shouldn't feel as lost as he did.

Some days he was just so confused about life; he wished that it came with a map like the road did. Oh well, being lost about life was nothing new it came with the terrain he guessed. Thoughts become heavier as his eyes drifted lower and lower.

Suddenly, he felt the car swerve. Before an appropriate action could be taken; the car started rolling. He left the car flying before being stopped by something powerful. He slumped weakly to the ground, feeling the hot pavement under his cheek, and before losing consciousness as he breathed in that warm, lonely, arm once more.

Waking up was an odd experience. Voices were all around him. Thinking his way through them he became aware of a shaking body that was holding tight to him. His mind became more aware as he shifted slightly, the pain exploding down his entire left side. The arms released him as face came into view.

"Easy there tiger, help is on the way".

Tod's face was all cut up, his nose looked broken and swelling was beginning to show on a cut above his eye.

"Tod", he rasped out. "Are you ok"?

His words caused the man to chuckle.

" Yeah, I think I broke my wrist and a few ribs. I was the lucky one who stayed in the vehicle. You on the other hand…"

Words were getting harder to listen to. Then as his brain started to get foggy, he felt the arms encircle him once more. The last thing he heard before he drifted off was Tod saying, "Don't worry sport, I got you".

Relief flooded through Buz, as the thoughts of early began to haunt him. He had Tod and together they would their way. A friend like Tod would never lose him in Arizona.
