Are You?!
Authoress' Note: Hello all! This story is inspired by my Best Anime Friend EVER! It was just too funny an idea and this came about. Not sure if they'll be more, so for now it's complete. Hope you enjoy.
Warning: OC, X-Over, Random
Setting: Kagome's done going through the well, Sesshoumaru is only mentioned, and L and Light are still handcuffed together.
OC: L's assistant and Kagome's friend. Not really important.
Kagami watched as Light started yet another fight with L. She looked over at the other person in the room and rolled her eyes at their childish actions.
Kagome looked worriedly at the fighting boys. She didn't want L to get hurt.
Kagami seemed to be bored and mid-yawn when, apparently, an idea struck her. She walked over to Kagome.
"Hey, did you know that if you spelled 'Yagami' backwards, it spells 'I'm a gay'?" Kagami asked Kagome with an innocent smile.
Kagome blinked at the woman who was L's assistant. As the idea ran through her mind, she realized the woman was right. Soon the two started giggling. As the two boys stopped and looked at the two in confusion, the two women burst into full blown laughter. Suddenly, Kagome stopped and looked to Light.
"Oh my god, are you?!" Kagome questioned while still giggling; barely getting the question out.
Kagami continued laughing, using Kagome as support so she didn't fall over.
The two men looked confused, but seeing as Kagome had directed the question at Light, L just shrugged and waited to see if they would explain.
"Am I what?" Light asked, confused about the question.
Kagome's only answer was to start laughing once again.
The two men were even more clueless.
Unknown to the room's occupants, Ryuk was laughing hysterically, as he had heard the girls' discussion. He always knew that hanging around Light would provide entertainment.
Suddenly, Kagami stopped laughing with a gasp.
"Kagome, if that's true, you have to save L!" she exclaimed with what appeared to be horror on her face.
Kagome stopped laughing then, and latched onto L, glared at Light, and...growled?
"He's mine. Back off." Kagome said in a voice that would make Sesshoumaru proud.
The two men looked shocked at the usually sweet woman.
"Higurashi, you should know, the percentage of you being Kira has increased by ten percent." L stated.
Kagome looked at L with a shocked look that quickly turned watery. She turned to Kagami and ran to the other woman and started to cry.
Kagami took Kagome into her arms and started to comfort the upset woman. She glared at L over Kagome's head. Her look reminded Light of the look some of his friends gave their younger siblings when they did something stupid and annoying.
"Come on, Kagome. It's alright. I know where L hides his sweets; those should help you feel better. " she said, while leading the upset woman towards the door behind the two men. She smacked L in the back of the head as she passed.
"Even the ones with the strawberries on top?" Kagome questioned in a small, watery voice.
Kagami just nodded and lead the now sniffling woman out of the room.
"Her percentage just increased by twenty percent, now" L muttered as he rubbed his head and watched the two women leave the room.
"Is that because she has your assistant wrapped around her finger?" Light asked, still in slight shock, but mostly confused.
L seemed to pause and think about that question. "She is definitely Kira. Now, how to prove it?"
