Lily Luna Potter did not understand her parents, not in the slightest. She had desperately wanted to go to Hogwarts, and now she finally was. Was it wrong for her to write down her experiences? To use the diary she had bought with her pocket money in Diagon Alley? This diary she had purchased, it was just a book. Even so, why did her parents refuse to let her write in it? Well, it was truly her mother who refused to let her use it, and her father just agreed with her mother.
"Mum, you don't think you're overreacting just a bit? It's a book!"
"I told you, I do not want you to use that book- can you once just not ask questions?" Her mother sighed exasperatedly.
"Mum- can you mind your own sodding business for once? It's my book! If I feel the need to write it in, I will!"
"Lily Luna Potter, don't you dare use that tone with me, young woman, or I can assure you that there are other schools you can be put in. Do you understand me, missy?" Her mother could be so unreasonable at times.
"Yes mum." She said sullenly, looking down at the table.
"Lily, sweetie, it's just-"
"Forget it, mum, just forget it." Lily said. It was just a book, after all...
