A/N: For once, I don't have anything to say. Except that Yugioh isn't mine. Not even slightly.

Dueling was his life and his passion.

Dueling was both a blessing and a curse.

Dueling this way was nothing like he'd ever experienced before.

Dueling was more than just cheering from the sidelines.

Dueling was dangerous and not how it should be.

"You can have my memories then," Yugi said sincerely, looking up.

The Spirit was surprised, so far the only memories he had involved a lot of dueling and moments he observed with the gang.

"That is, if you want of course," Yugi added, taking note of the Spirits face.

"For now, that would be nice," he replied with a smile.

"Oh come on! I was so close that time!" Jonouchi cried as his Life Points dropped to zero once more.

"Face it Jou, you were doomed the moment you challenged him," Honda said with a snicker.

"I'm sorry. I don't think I heard you. You wanna say that again? Or better yet, how 'bout you be my next opponent?" Jou threatened as he jumped off the couch. It had started out as a quite end of term celebration at the Game Shop, or above it really, but the simple suggestion of a duel somehow came up and the peace was destroyed.

"Yugi, what have you done?" Anzu groaned as she quietly stole Jonouchi's spot.

"Hey, at least everyone still has their soul," Yugi replied with a shrug as he dodged the three cushions that came his way.

"So. This is it huh," Yugi said as he looked across the plaza while activating his Duel Disk.

"Guess so, "Jonouchi answered with a grin as he drew his cards. It was exciting; it was the most important duel of the tournament. Here he would prove how much he had learnt, and grown.

With a laugh Jou did a mini happy dance on the spot and the look he received indicated Yugi was no longer there.

"Good luck Jou."

"You know, I don't think I've seen Jou take anything so seriously," Anzu had said, if Honda recalled correctly. It had been a couple of weeks after he had started his Master Miyagi style training and to Anzu's amazement Jou was not only still going strong, but actually improving.

"Imagine what he could do if he put this much effort into his study!" she had added in amazement.

"Yeah, but whatcha gonna do?" he'd replied, before stealing a small rice ball off Jou's plate.

That hadn't been too long ago, and now Honda was watching his buddy duel in the semifinals of some flashy tournament.

Ever since Duelist Kingdom she had endured a lot thanks to the stupid game. As if the island hadn't been enough, its finals had been hair-raising, what with the amount of soul stealing and magic running awry. And Battle City hadn't been much better, with half of the finalists winding up seriously hurt and the whole incident with that Noah brat. But this, this drew the line. More soul stealing? This is not how the game is to be played. And for Kaiba to insist on another tournament straight after the whole mess?

There were defiantly times when she hated the game.

To Yami, dueling was his whole world.

To Yugi, dueling was what bought his friends together while having fun, even if it attracted the crazy people sometimes.

To Jounouchi, dueling with cards trumped fighting in gangs any day of the week.

To Honda, dueling was what made him proud of his friend.

To Anzu, major tournaments of Duel Monsters should be banned because they cause too much trouble.
