Shadow was an ordinary human boy, he wasn't always gloomy and angry as he was. Shadow is at the age of 13 when his life changed, Maria and shadow was taking a walk when she asked shadow does he want to see hers fathers lab, shadow said "yeah why not? I would like to see it" so then they went to the lab and look at all the inventions. "Wow this is amazing Maria" as he smiles and looks at Maria. "I know he build all this in a couple weeks" her father came in and saw shadow, he was amazed how he reacted to every word. "Welcome to my lab shadow" he said full of heart. "Yeah it's a beauty" later on when Maria went out to eat by her self her father kidnaped shadow in the lab and put him in a machine, "let me out!" Shadow commanded, "no, you have great potential, I like that about you" he turned the machine on and transformed him into a cyborg meant for killing. The FBI found out about his evil inventions and busted in. "No don't shoot!" Said Maria blocking shadow. "Sorry lady but move" as he shot Maria. As he grabbed Maria as she fell and was about to die. "Maria no, your the only one who cared about me" "sorry shadow I love you" as she died away.
