Yes, I am back with another drabble! Finally!
Here you go Ward, here's that drabble thingy that isn't Ethan/Pen but the next one will be! I hope you at least like it, since I was conflicted on how I should write it, but I think it turned out kinda okay.
Tell me what you think! :)
It's on a cold night when Sam ponders about his older brother.
He doesn't really know why he begins to think about his older brother, doesn't know why he looks back on the times before his older brother had gone into high school and changed. Maybe he just wants to remember some normalcy from his life from before everything, way before he went into high school, way before his brother went into high school. Before everything.
When he had been little, he and his brother, Aiden, had been close. Aiden always had let Sam play with him, didn't matter if it was a video game, playing football, or hanging with friends. He'd always let Sam join.
(Even if it annoyed Aiden's friends to play with someone three years younger than them.)
But then it all changed when Aiden went into high school.
He doesn't know why Aiden began to be an asshole to him. Aiden never had a reason to be an asshole to anyone; he'd be one for no reason and would still make their dad proud no matter what.
Aiden, to their dad, was the apple to his fucking eye. He was great at sports, a fucking social butterfly, had a huge amount of friends, etc.
And then there was Sam, who was the complete opposite.
Sam, who wasn't a social butterfly.
Sam, who had a small group of friends.
Sam, who wasn't great at sports whatsoever.
No matter what Sam tried, Aiden would always be the special one to their dad. He doubted that it ever occurred to him that he had another son, one who wasn't as amazing as Aiden was.
Sam gave up trying to be like Aiden a long time ago.
Sam was his own fucking person and he didn't give a flying fuck whether he was like his brother or not.
