Star and Marco were watching TV when the princess suddenly asked, "Marco, is it true that when people say something a lot, it ends up losing all meaning?"
"Yeah, we call those cliche." the boy answered.
With that said, Star frowne and added, "Do you think that, the more people ship us, the more likely it is our relationship will end up losing all meaning?"
Marco looked shocked for a second, but he quickly laughed it off. "Star, you're hilarious!" he blurted as he continued to laugh.
The princess remained silent and gave Marco a look as he laughed. Once he stopped, Star promptly laughed out loud. "Yeah, I guess what I said was rather goofy!" she uttered.
As she laughed, Marco gave Star a worried look and remembered different versions of himself: some with Star, most where their relationship had essentially turned one-note, sour, or just downright nonexistent.
"She must never know." he thought, holding back his tears.
