A/N: So, I'm from Germany and in our English lessons at school we read this book and this is our test… I got (the first time in English) an A (me! An A! Who would have thought?) and I'll give you the task and my letter (because, that's what it is)

I hope You'll enjoy it

Disclaimer: I do not own 13 reasons why

Task: Imagine you are Clay Jensen. After listening to Hannah Baker's tapes you try very hard to lead the life of a "normal" high school student, but it is impossible. 'Hannah's voice does not leave your head.' (on page 3) So one day you decide to write a letter to the new editor of you school magazine and you ask him to publish it.

Little things can change a life – and they can end it

Dear everybody,

Do you remember Hannah? Hannah Baker? Or do you just remember the rumors bout her and how she committed suicide? I think most of you couldn't understand her. I didn't until a few days ago. And I don't want Hannah to have died in vain. That is why I'm writing this letter. I want to tell you what you've done wrong. Sure you ask yourself now "What did I do?". A few of you know, at least twelve other people from this school do. Hannah sent cassettes around, to the people who were reasons for her suicide, I was one of them. And I just can't get Hannah's voice out of my head. You are a reason, too. Perhaps you're not mentioned, but you still are, because we all made one mistake: we did not listen, we did not think. We all just watched. I won't tell you all of her reasons, but for example, just stealing notes from her paper bag pulled her down to the ground. Hannah needed help, one person to talk to, but there was no one. Do you understand what I want to say? The little things which we do without much reflection are the things that can hurt others. I want to tell you that you should think about what you say. And I'm not talking to a single one of you, I'm talking to everybody, to all of you! I beg you: Never forget what Hannah did. Keep it in mind and learn from it. That is all I want you to do. Keep these words in mind and Hannah in your hearts.

Rest in peace, Hannah.
