My take at what happened in ep. 25. I promise it's not boring!

Ever since.
It was past midnight when the silent ronin's eyes blinked open. Next to him, a careless Mugen was sleeping unusually still. Standing up gently, as swiftly as he could -which was very swiftly- his light footsteps carried him towards the side of the stream they were camping by.
Fuu stood up, an apologetic look shining in her apparently resigned, but determined eyes.
"What are you doing up so late...?" She asked conversationally, but Jin's face showed little that made her believe he was buying her act.
"You should be sleeping too."
A defeated smile curved her lips. "I know... I was just thinking... about what will happen when this journey is over." Fuu looked calm, but her hands betrayed her, and she had to clutch them over her chest to keep them from shaking.
"I know the best for the three is that I leave on my own..." That small smile still attached to her lips faltered, as if she were biting back an assumed sadness. "But I can't..."
His still eyes didn't shift. "Why?"
Jin knew what she was going to say. He had known ever since Shinsuke, since Kohza, since Sara.

"B-because if I do... that idiot of Mugen..."

Seeking security against his kendo-shaped chest, she told him she was sorry. Because she hadn't chosen him. Then it all became silent, understanding leaking through the ronin's pale features. It took nothing for him to rest his hands reassuringly over her shoulders.
Grey eyes closed after the predicament had been said, the lack of emotion in them making them pass of as indifferent. But his badly tanto-shaved face looked oddly satisfied.
Jin was glad for Fuu that Mugen had never been truly asleep.
Hayaku mitsukete mitsukete, koko ni iru kara ...
A/N: I'm sorry this fic is not too good. But I wanted to to do sth Fuugen and I've just come out of a goddamned Business Exam, my brain's not in the best of conditions...
My Japanese is very rustic so I only have a notion of what these lyrics say. If you do know, I'd love it if you could tell me!
--"Itsudemo kimi no egao ni yurete" : Even now your smile wavers.
--"Mune ga itakute itakute kowaresou dakara" : My heart aches... and kowaresou would make reference to being scared I think, but I can't put together the rest :P
--"Hayaku mitsukete mitsukete Koko ni iru kara ..." : Please hurry, find me, I'll be here.
"...since Shinsuke, since Kohza, since Sara."... Those are some Fuugen moments, that's why I mentioned them, teehee :P
