"Don't touch my cards" were the last words heard inside the small
saloon before a large fire broke out. Screaming, everyone raced for the
exit except one person. A younge woman, black hair whiping violently, stood
in the back of the burning saloon. Her crystal blue eyes shimmering
brightly and wildly.
"I told you not to touch my cards" she muttered again. A deck of blue and white cards floated slightly by her side. She smirked slightly and began walking towards the exit. As she walked the flames around her turned blue and slowly began to fade, when she walked out into the sandy desert of a town all eyes were on her. Her large Forget-me-not blue and red overcoat flickered in the wind. The glint of a silver objects caught the sunlight and shone off onto a small building.
The silent stares were to much for the woman to stand. "Arn't you going to say anything?! Are you just going to stare at me!!" she screamed impatiently at the staring villagers. The blue flames circled her and ingulfed her slowly.
A small child screamed in fear at the sight. The mother tryed hush her screaming child but couldn't seem to. The young woman slowly but steadly walked over to the young girl and crouched down to her level. "You might just want to listen to your mommy..." she said, her voice rough and a little cold. She pulled the chin of the small girl up top look at her face. "You look like my little sister..... but that was then...." she stood and walked towards the outskirts of town.
The little girl watched as the flames slowly began to fade from sight as well as the girl.
"Knives" said in a low calm voice. "I have searched every town and still can not find this Vash" the young womans head hung and her crystal blue eyes stared deep into the floor.
"Look harder!!" the demanding voice of Knives rang out in the dark room. His face slowly slithered from the shadows and his blue eyes stared harshly at the girl. "I brought you on to distroy him not for him to lead you on a wild goose chase!!!" he screamed at her.
"I said I looked!!!!" she screamed back then bit her tounge to stop from any further outbursts. She looked back at Knives and hoped that he would forgive her for her rude outburst.
"I've heard enough from you!" he reached for his gun.
"Master!" Legato's voice rang out. "He's nearby!! He's in DunesBerry!!!" Leagto ran up beside the young woman and kneeled.
Knives smirked and looked at the young woman. "This is your chance to prove yourself Jynx" he took his hand off of his gun and smiled evily. "You shall not fail me"
The young woman noded and disapeared.
As she stood on the outskirts of DunesBerry she looked around for anyone to be seen. She slowly ploped down onto the sand and sighed. "You shall not fail me..... blah blah blah..." she mimicked Knives. "Who does he think he is??" she demanded to no one. "I just want to see if that guy, Vash or whatever, killed them...." small tears formed at the edges of her eyes. 'No' she told herself knowing that she hadn't cryed sense that day......
