A/N: Poetic-story type of fic, based on the credited song lyrics. Minus the song bit this is very close to my personal writing style, which is primarily poetry (although all of the thoughts are song lyrics only, if that makes sense).

"Life for me before was filled with" he paused, continuing the sentence in his mind,

*Ups

downs...

Trying to explain, he grasped at what he understood, "Comrades were near and we placed our trust in each other, but I..."

*Needed the shelter of someone's arms...

"With the Thieves Guild I had friendships, and took orders. We lived together, and typically looked out for one-another, but I did not truly have a family, or a home". He had never known what a true home could be like.

Raenef turned to face his raven-haired instructor and servant. The following moments passed silently and slowly.

Eclipse peered at his lord; it caught him off-guard for the past to be brought up so suddenly. By human measure, the recollections were of twelve years ago. (By demon measure that accumulated the similarity with one year.) But time does pass for all creatures.

During the years with Raenef the fifth as his ruler, he admitted in his mind,

*You were better to me than anyone else...

Trying to admit what he did not comprehend Eclipse said, "My lord, demons are also capable of emotion, and I have searched for such a connection for so very long"

Emerald orbs guided Raenef's hands to loose obsidian locks, running fingers through soft tangles, he then proceeded to caress the older demon's face. Finally the words found his lips, *"And there you were".

If this was another time, another place, with another, Eclipse would have stopped him, but he realized

*For me there is you and no one else...

Feeling his pounding heartbeat lead a surge within him, the older demon returned the caresses.

Their hands hastened now with overpowering need.

Layers and colors and fabric were all in the way

Scrambling they tore apart barriers

Then all else was away

You and no one else

You and no one else

Eclipse had enough sense left to transport them to Raenef's bed

Before

Every bit of pretense and pent up discontent

Burst together

You and no one else

You and no one else

Together

All at once and

Nothing else mattered

No one else existed

As hours passed the sun and moon

At last

They felt the

Freedom of togetherness

Becoming entwined

They moved at an equal pace

Thoughts also intermingling

At last fully understanding

*I was racing

Blindly until

Now

There you are...
