Summery: He's exhausted after a hard day's work but before he can sleep there's something he still needs to do.

He was literally so exhausted he had to fight to keep his eyes open long enough to make it through the door.

After that all bets are off. After all his day was almost done.

He dropped the key on the closest surface then stumbled towards his room, tearing clothes off along the way.

By the time he made it into the bedroom he was down to his boxers and socks. Without even trying to take either off he fell face first into the still messy bed.

The mattress sank welcomingly under him and the blankets cushioned his exhausted skin.

Colby crawled up the bed until his head rested on what felt to be a pillow. He sighed relaxingly. His entire body easing at the small comforts of the bed.

Colby forced his eyes open. His day wasn't over yet.

The bad guys were put away, the victims take care of, and the families helped even the dreaded paper work taken care of.

But he had one more important thing left to do.

Reaching out with a hand Colby snatched the phone off his nightstand and quickly began punching in numbers.

" 'ello?" Came the just as tried answer.

"David?" Colby held the phone to his ear while his face remained buried in the pillow.

"Yeah?"

"Goodnight,"

A light chuckle whispered through the phone and Colby felt his stomach twist in emotion.

"Goodnight, Colby, get some sleep."

"You too." Colby smiled into the pillow then laid the phone down.

Now his day was done. Now he could sleep.
