A/N: I got the idea for this when Dr. Weir mentioned that employee evaluations helped people get promotions and raises. I thought, Why would they need money all the way in the Pegasus galaxy? This is just a silly little ficlet about some of the people they take for granted on Atlantis. It is a city after all, and cities need certain things to function.

Disclaimer: I do not own Stargate Atlantis.

I went through the Air Force Academy, basic training, business college, and a stint at the SGC. I was hand-picked by Dr. Elizabeth Weir for the Atlantis expedition. I even gave up any hope of having any sort of personal life when I went to the Pegasus galaxy.

I get paid a good amount of money. But what am I supposed to do with it? I can't leave it in a bank on Earth, but I can't spend it anywhere in this galaxy. So where does it go? Well, that's what I get paid for.

I'm Lieutenant Janet Gregory, President of the United Bank of Atlantis.
