The drug

Disclaimer: I do not own suite life.

It was 7o clock in the morning, the streets were almost empty and there were barely any cars on the road. Cody liked it that way, quiet. His mother and Zack had both been asleep when he left, and probably would be for the next few hours. He was glad. He was hoping to get back before they woke. They wouldn't be there long after. Carey had to work and Zack was going to a friends house.

Cody hadn't been invited, he was never invited anywhere now. He was often left in the apartment on his own. Not that anyone cared about that, not even his twin. That had hit him hardest, the fact that his only brother was leaving him behind. That was the thing that drove him to them.

The drugs.

He had been walking on his own one day, much like he was now. He had seen the stranger in an alleyway as he went passed. The man had beckoned him. He was hesitant at first, knowing he shouldn't talk to strangers. He had then went towards him, deciding that he didn't care.

He was offered cocaine, he had said no at first. But the stranger was persistent, he said that Cody had looked sad, and that he would feel better if he took it.

And Cody had felt better, he felt amazing. All of his pain had gone, he felt like he could do anything.

After that Cody had stayed out all night, he didn't even remember what he had done after that, all he knew was that he had woken up outside the hotel the next morning, feeling ill. He told his mom that he had stayed at a friends house, and she bought it. Zack didn't ask.

After the first time, Cody kept going back for more, he had loved the feeling the drug gave him, and liked experiencing it. He became addicted quickly.

The mad charged him $30 a bag, which was cheap apparently. He didn't know how much they were worth.

That was where he went to now. The alleyway, to get more drugs. Being on his own a lot meant that he could get high without worrying about anyone returning, and sleep it off before they did.

He got his drugs quickly, and hurried home before he was caught with them. He hid them under hit mattress, no-one ever looked there. No-one ever searched him at all, thinking that he was a good kid and would never do something like that.

Zack was already gone, where he didn't know, nor did he care. He could hear his mother waking up in the room next door, so he climbed into bed and pretended to sleep.

She left quickly. He was glad.

He grabbed his bag from under the mattress, and inhaled it quickly, enjoying the high.

He often thought about suicide, when he was sober, and realised that he was committing it, slowly, but surely the drugs were killing him and he knew. He didn't care.

Until he realised he was having a heart attack.

He could feel his heart speeding up, it felt like it would explode. He was panicking, he couldn't think straight, and his mind was messing with him. He collapsed to the floor, his body convulsing as blood started pouring from his nose.

His heart began to slow down, his body going still.

Cody martin, aged 16, killed by drugs.
