It's been almost a week now that Garcia has spent worrying over his child, if Garcia didn't know it better, he'd think his own son hates him! Since 5 days now, Ross hasn't talked one single word with his own father and Garcia had to put an end to this. Dragging the boy along on his ear, who even refused to protest with words, Garcia brought him to the only lad he thought would know what's going on.

"Brother Artur, do you have a minute for me and my stubborn, little rascal?" the tall man asked, finally letting go of his boy. "Oh, but of course Garcia." Artur chuckled slightly nervous. It wasn't on an every day basis he saw someone treating their child so roughly, but maybe if Garcia wasn't like that to his son, Ross might not be the strong fighter he is today.
"What may be the problem?" the monk asked, holding a tome close to his chest.

"Ya see, my son's a good boy! But lately he thinks it's funny to make me worry." Artur still didn't quite understand, but he let the man continue ranting. "He hasn't talked one single word to me for a week! His own father. You'd think this boy tells me anything, but lately I ain't hearing nothing from him!"

Artur's only respond was a meek "Oh." And his eyes wandered over to the boy Garcia was ranting about. "Does your father speak the truth?" he asked the teen, but Ross even refused to answer Artur. He just pouted and avoided the gaze.
Garcia was a short tempered man and it did hurt him to see his one and everything avoiding him. What Garcia didn't know however was, that brother Artur was well aware of the problem. It wasn't just him who decided to talk to the monk about their problems. Many of their allies spoke to the red-head about their problems, or to get advice.

And so Garcia didn't quite understand the smile on Artur's lips, he didn't think it was funny at all. He was worried to death. Artur's eyes wandered over to Ross' father again. "I think I see the problem." He said, getting up Garcia's hopes, who was already thinking about a proper punishment for his son.
"He's in a difficult age, Garcia. Don't forget that. He's just…" Artur paused to think about how to word this. "…becoming an adult." Ross' cheeks turned red in embarrassment and his pout almost became bigger.

"What do you mean? My son's already a full man!" Garcia claimed patting his son's shoulder roughly.

"Ah. I think you don't quite understand."

Instead of continuing however, Artur looked at the poor boy to talk to him. "Don't you want to tell your father yourself?" But as the monk already expected, Ross shook his head. "Ross is ashamed for his voice." But Garcia still couldn't quite follow, the puzzled expression on his face told Artur.

"He's in middle of the breaking of his voice."
Garcia raised both his brows and looked at his son, who was now redder than a tomato! But Artur's answer did the thing. The man couldn't be angry anymore, almost crushing the poor boy's shoulder, he wrapped a strong arm around his son and laughed. "Ross my boy! Why didn't you tell your dad? I'm so glad you're becoming a full man now! That's something to be celebrated!" Garcia was as proud as a father could be. "D-Dad!" the boy whined and wanted to tell his father to stop that fuzz, but he already noticed his voice cracking up at that single word and so decided not to.

That's exactly what Ross wanted to avoid. Sometimes his father made such a big deal out of a little thing such as the change of his son's voice. Ross couldn't help but send the monk angry looks as his father belittled him, but Artur just smiled. Someday, the boy would learn to appreciate everything his father does – he was sure about that.
